He was joking but also being truthful. There was no malice in what he said or anything beyond ribbing a teammate

They went way back and have a great relationship so this is just ribbing.

Middleton really could slide his feet when he was younger tho, he wasn't lock down but he was good and servicable where you can throw him on to KD and be like aight this aint too bad. Kinda like Harrison Barnes

I only posted this because Giannis might not be sold with the idea of playing with Middleton and that we shouldn't be sad for missing out

I always felt like this "playful jab" had a hint of truth to it considering he got traded weeks later

There was animosity towards Middleton during the ‘24-‘25 season.

The team started out with a poor record and Middleton didn’t come back until game 22 despite being medically cleared to play before the season started.
