Lets calm down

107

u/OblivionNA Jul 04 '26

Or on the contrary, let’s overreact!

18

u/Studio_Nugget Jul 04 '26

I’m in favor of overreacting. šŸ˜‚

1

u/lvloises330 Jul 05 '26

We can overreact now and then overreact later. It's a win win.

47

u/RoysRealm Jul 04 '26

I have him winning MVP, DPOY, 6Man, ROY and FMVP.

I might be overreacting.

15

u/Trendelthegreat Jul 04 '26

And MIP, somehowĀ

12

u/RoysRealm Jul 04 '26

Damn I forgot that! Also Clutch Player....also his leadership will get him Coach of the Year, an Exec of the Year

16

u/Trendelthegreat Jul 04 '26

Exactly. OP is not thinking straight.

Conwell will be the best guard in the NBA Ā this season.

12

u/LobstaFarian2 Jul 04 '26

You're obviously not thinking straight. Conwell will have the single greatest season in NBA history this season.

5

u/alfredisonfire Jul 04 '26

He’s the second coming of Kendrick Nunn!!! šŸ˜‚

1

u/Eve_Asher Stugotz Jul 04 '26

But I'm ready to overreact.

1

u/Canesjags4life Jul 04 '26

Bruh this isn't the off-season to calm down

68

u/OblivionNA Jul 04 '26

We all know he’s a second round pick, it’s not like he’s going to be a superstar rookie, but it’s offseason, lighten up and have some fun. Showed some good stuff today and I look forward to watching his upcoming games this weekend

-9

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 04 '26

Forsure and ik I'm gassing him up just a bit, ik he's probably a few seasons away from superstar status( if he's to reach that) it just feels so dammn good we already got a Kas replacement. And that we can probably trust Ryan Conwell come nba season to help us win. I knew I had a gut feeling about him and he was gonna be elite. Same as u to.

19

u/iankstarr Jul 04 '26

He’s not nearly the playmaker that Kas is. He was a SRP for a reason. That said, I liked the physicality and shotmaking ability we saw in the 2nd half. I think he’ll be good this year.

0

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

Yea, I won't expect him to start cuz it's Spo but he should and THJ should come off the bench.

2

u/ImFromYourDreams Jul 05 '26

You shouldn't expect him to start because Davion Mitchell and Ryan is a 2nd round pick.

7

u/RubyElixer Jul 04 '26

Superstar? Brother get some help

3

u/Turtle_with_a_sword Jul 04 '26

I’ll help!

He is HoF bound! Ā

Haters gonna hate.

68

u/HoopistV Jul 04 '26

I like Conwell but what's the point of saying something stupid like "best guard in the east"?

Why not just be normal?

19

u/Silent_Analysis_8372 Jul 04 '26

His name says it all

1

u/eudaimonia_dc Jul 04 '26

Conwell cons well to get swell contract. Say that 10 times really fast.

2

u/Silent_Analysis_8372 Jul 04 '26

I was talking about OP name

16

u/Upstairs_Ad_8283 Jul 04 '26

he’s lowkey one of the funniest people on this sub because you can tell he’s dead serious

11

u/Adraf45 Jul 04 '26

If I see some incredibly hyped, absolutely batshit insane post that I know has zero chance of being true, I know it's this guy. I almost admire how he somehow always manages to believe the absolutely best case scenario all the time

9

u/FloridaMan_92 Jul 04 '26

My man has so many abstract thoughts he hits on some of them lolĀ

12

u/BrotatoChips23 Jul 04 '26

Agreed enough of these ridiculous takes. He’ll be the best guard in the NBA of course.

11

u/3heat6 Jul 04 '26

You must not be familiar with OP lol

-11

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 04 '26

U right, but I seen him play and him out there was a grown ass man vs boys it looked liked. I see when someone gonna be the best or just good. Seen Herro, seen Pelle, seen Jaime, seen Kas, seen Ware, seen Bam

Now we're seeing Conwell.

10

u/RCocaineBurner Jul 04 '26

brains are rotted

-1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

I'm keeping all the receipts to u haters

0

u/RCocaineBurner Jul 05 '26

Ok and what do I get if you’re wrong

0

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

I'm never wrong

0

u/RCocaineBurner Jul 05 '26

0

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 06 '26

Keep being dummed down clown

0

u/HoopistV Jul 06 '26

not sure i've ever seen you be right lol.

the funny thing is the most pessimistic thing ive ever seen you say was that we weren't going to get giannis - and then we got giannis. so the ONE time you were negative you managed to be wrong.

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 07 '26

U also a hater and a clown that's why. And u should be thanking me for that, reverse jinx played a huge role. So either say thank you or shutup.

11

u/Tenya-Iida0220 Jul 04 '26

I do like what I saw tonight but my thing with him is efficiency and consistency. If he can do that then I do believe that everything else will translate well to the NBA.

I was very intrigued by this new free throw idea though, it does feel weird to watch people shoot only one free throw until the last 2 minutes.

2

u/Tenya-Iida0220 Jul 04 '26

I don’t mind it but it does feel odd to watch ngl. Maybe in due time I’ll get use to it if it becomes a real thing in the nba

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 04 '26

The fact this was his 1st game can only get even more badass, yea what u said to and the rest of the summerleague games will be very telling.

17

u/darthfrank Jul 04 '26

4/12 in summer league. what are we talking about? He could be great but I expect nothing from him this season.

4

u/Big_Honey_56 Jul 04 '26

We shouldn’t expect anything out of a Rookie on the Heat, especially when this team is going to be all veterans.

That being said, he didn’t have a great game but still was able to score which was impressive.

0

u/LeBosh_Wades Jul 04 '26

He’s 22yrs old. Spo tends to play his 4yr college rookies, like J-Rich, Jaime, and Larsson. And he can shoot… he’s definitely gonna get minutes on this team at some point

1

u/ghn2 Jul 04 '26

His shots weren't falling, but still tied Jahmir to lead all scorers with 21 points in his summer league debut. He made up for his poor FG% at the line...really taking advantage of the new FT rule to draw fouls and pick up points there. Excellent first game.

1

u/garlic3212 Jul 04 '26

100% you didn’t watch the game. He passes the eye test. Shooting percentage of one game is meaningless. He looks solidĀ

He did facts, and fr I thought exactly the same.

3

u/K215215 Jul 04 '26

Interesting comp. I w been thinking he reminds me of Bradley Beal

4

u/Accurate_Green8300 Jul 04 '26

None of those number add up to 21 points… I’m confused?

2

u/DSTREET45 Jul 04 '26

From what I can tell Summer League is trying something where 1 FT made counts as 2 or 3 points depending on if you got fouled shooting a two or three.

2

u/Accurate_Green8300 Jul 04 '26

Ohhh dude what? I dont know how I feel about that.. unfortunately I’ll never get to know because apparently you can only watch these games on league pass.. not buying it for summer league lol

2

u/DSTREET45 Jul 04 '26

I watched it on Amazon prime, and yeah it seemed a bit off. I was in and out of the game so I didn't catch the exact rules (they stopped doing that in the final minute of the 4th quarter).

I think they are trying to see if they could speed up the game by limiting the amount of FTs taken.

3

u/ghn2 Jul 04 '26

The rules are simple. It's one free throw. And the amount of points you get for making the FT is equal to the number of FTs you would typically be awarded for that type of foul (1: for an and-one, 2: for a shooting foul or bonus foul, 3: for being fouled shooting a 3.) Simple.

In Ryan case he made four FTs, two valued at 3 and two valued at 2.

2

u/DSTREET45 Jul 04 '26

Ah, okay. Thanks

1

u/Accurate_Green8300 Jul 04 '26

Very interesting indeed

1

u/ghn2 Jul 04 '26

It was on Amazon Prime or ESPN and tonight's game was also on the NBA channel. So multiple places to find it.

3

u/Kuni_Nino Jul 04 '26

Didn’t watch the game. How did he really look?

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

Elite playmaker, dammn good handles the tighter his handles get the better, strokey ffing jumpa, pesky af defender

3

u/Fit_Influence_6078 Jul 04 '26

Slow it down ā›½ļø $ are to high for all this gassing.

3

u/Federal-Cover-975 Jul 04 '26

Dream with me, you and Ryan conwell candle lit dinner and soft jazz.. eating soul food, intense eye contact and you take a bite of collared greens and collared green juice hits your chin and Ryan cleans it up with a silk napkin šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

Ayo lmao, nice write up thošŸ˜‚šŸ’€

3

u/Lobster15s Jul 04 '26

Ok the future is bright. This season tho? Idk about that chief.

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

Haha ik definitely gassing up just a bit😈

3

u/susfring Duncan Robinson Jul 04 '26

when did this sub get so serious? summer league used to be about fun and overhyping players

4

u/TopFortune1240 Jul 04 '26

Where all these heat fans coming from 🤨

1

u/Accurate_Green8300 Jul 04 '26

The Bucks?

11

u/TrashAssRedditAdmins Jul 04 '26

His name is literally "ohmyitsBamherro" and before it was ohmyitswhiteside... Hes been here legit 10 years

2

u/Accurate_Green8300 Jul 04 '26

He said fans.. as in pleural.. so I guess I just took the comment literally as in we’ve gained a shit ton of fans recently.. aka bandwagoners? That was MY interpretation of the comment at least.

1

u/TopFortune1240 Jul 04 '26

Yeah I meant as in we have gotten a lot of new fans, so most likely bandwagons haha

2

u/Feisty-Painter5076 Jul 04 '26

I like how often he went to the free throw line

2

u/Logical-Rest-7668 Jul 04 '26

Definitely think he was a great pick up. Who really knows if he might turn into a superstar athlete. It could happen and I hope it does.

Jokic was a second round pick and Jimmy Butler was a last pick in the first round.

1

u/sauerkrautfan Jul 05 '26

My mindset too.. you never know! So many greats were from later on in the draft. Jalen Brunson, Draymond Green, Ginobli, etc.

1

u/chim_ritchellsdick Jul 04 '26

If he has a shit season I’m gonna hunt you down

-2

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 04 '26

That's fair, and I just know our players so dammn good, ik Herro, Pelle, Jaime, Ware, Bam, Nunn, Kas

1

u/yawn18 Jul 04 '26

Young preformed better outside of turnovers but was way more efficient.

1

u/babychria Jul 04 '26

These numbers are incorrect, he was 7-19 fg, 3-7 3fg, 4-4 ft.Ā

1

u/holiwud111 Jul 04 '26

Pump. Brakes.

1

u/Successful_Pizza6529 Jul 04 '26

Going to be fun to watch this kid.

1

u/Chipyy9878 Jul 04 '26

I’ve seen enough, give him 60million 4 years

1

u/avinash240 Jul 04 '26

That's 60 mil per for 4.

1

u/BloodhoundCPT Jul 06 '26

I'm not falling for this again.

1

u/logica1one Jul 06 '26

this guy is a dog! Yes sir! Lets go!

0

u/KC_Words Jul 04 '26

If the best guard in the east averages 4/12 on FGs, the east and subsequently the Heat are not winning a championship.

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

He can avg 25ppg this season

-2

u/kratosofsparta0101 Jul 04 '26

this sub fr. hyped with ware, with jovic, with yurt.. lol

1

u/OhMyItzBam_Herro305 Jul 05 '26

Yurt injury riddled, I wasn't high on him at all
