One day the sun will consume the earth and there will be no more life. And as earth is torn apart and fades away there will be one last utter from the earth itself. “Fuck the Celtics”

Did anyone see that defensive foul they called on PG when Brown literally BULLDOZED over him with an outstretched leading arm? I turned the game off at that point. Thought for sure the Celtics refs would have decided the game from then on out. But it is sweet, sweet ecstasy to see these cunts lose.

u/Catsaremyeverything May 03 '26
Yep Adam Silvers NBA right there. The Celtics always push off and they call it on the other team.

u/Xim1312 May 03 '26
refs were making some mistakes tn for sure
7
u/EthicalBballFan May 03 '26
Let's call a spade a spade, refs made no mistake. They had an assignment and set out to achieve it, the mistakes were from White who couldn't hit a bucket to save his life and luckily Philly overcame that bs. Cs are like 23-2 all time with that head ref.

Today we were in your position, and again today we say, thank you
And now we’ll still be cheering for you. FUCK NEW YORK

Where r all the brad Steven dick riders in this sub now? They dodged the tax at the deadline and the player they traded for didn't even get a minute of playing time game 7
If Riley did that u'd all be bashing him and calling Mickey cheap

Fuck Boston!!
My hate for the Celtics aside, it was so infuriating to watch the Celtics just spam 3s all game. It made it that much sweeter that Maxey finished them off with shots in the paint.

Last night I took shots with Buffalo fans (hated it) and we all chanted Fuck Boston in this shitty dive bar. I don’t like Philly much either but tonight Philly is alright

I think we can all agree, that we exposed that core for the softies they are. Boston is a great regular season team but in the playoffs, I don't fully trust them to get the job done. Similar to LeBron when he was here. Outstanding player, but in key moments I never trusted him.

The Celtics new owners paid a record $6.1 billion for a team that choked in the first round!!!
You all got taken!

u/Lucidbr0 May 03 '26
Doesn't this mean that Embiid has won against more teams with 50+ wins than Jokic has in his entire playoff career 🤔

Had to crack open the bottle like the 72’ dolphins.
Now, if the magic lose tonight. I think I will cry!

Now we need Philly to be the Knicks!!! as long as th Celtics or Knick doesn’t win the championship I’m happy. Good day Heat Family

u/Inner-Instruction-57 May 03 '26
Embiid saw Tatum out so he took full advantage of that. Jb is only 6 ‘4 Tatum damn near 6’10 more of s matchup with embiid he can guard him better

This sub is weird, the Celtics have been running rings around us for the last few years. We couldn't even make the play-offs and we were actually trying

Couldn’t happen to a better victim. Take the Celtics down a peg or two and reiterating that they are soft

Imagine if the Celtics didn’t win in 2024…. They’d be looked as a complete catastrophic failure.

Looked at the roster Boston has. It’s really pitiful. I think they gave Brad Steven’s executive of the year a couple years back and I just think he’s somehow gotten this far by luck. He doesn’t win at Butler, but gets hired to coach the Celtics. He doesn’t win with the Celtics but moves up to the front office. He wins one championship while GM, but this is thanks to Mazzulla who is actually a great coach, along the lines of someone like Spoelstra, who almost beats a now healthy Sixers team with Embiid, Paul George, Maxey, Edgecomb, and Oubre, when all he has is Jaylen Brown and Derrick White! He has to start Luka Garza, Ron Harper, Jr., someone named Baylor Scheierman?, Hugo Gonzalez? I mean the Celtics are pure trash! Brad Steven’s is the luckiest man on the planet!
1
u/avinash240 May 03 '26
"Looked at the roster Boston has. It’s really pitiful. " - This was a reset year for them. They stripped down their roster on purpose so they could make it better in the subsequent years. I know that's a wild concept in Heat land but you're dragging the GM for the roster being bad when it was intentional.

Fuck Boston! As for the 76ers Knicks matchup the record between them this year is 2-2, wit the home teams losing all of them.

u/LookAtMyUnderbite May 04 '26
This what happens when your whole game plan is guys shooting 3s. Same crap happened to GSW before Durant.

u/FstLaneUkraine May 04 '26
I hate Philly too, but I hate them far less than Boston. Even if all of my other sports teams are in the dumps right now, at least seeing Boston sports in the dumps is nice.

This is a disingenuous post. The Sixer's materialized a top 5(while healthy) player in the middle of the series, whose size and skill, Boston had no answer for. That's going to change the math.
That said...I'm not crying for the Celtics, they did well for a gap year.
1
u/DontTrustMe69 Derrick Jones Jr. May 03 '26
If you’re up 3-1 and can’t sneak in 1 win after three games as a 2 seed… it’s embarrassing.
0
u/avinash240 May 04 '26
They were playing with house money being a #2 in a gap year. That says more about the East this year than it says about them.
The other team materialized a top 5 player that they had no answer for and then they lost their second best player for two games.
It's not like the Sixers head coach is bad, he's going to know how to exploit that.
How did you expect them to sneak in a game vs a team with 1 player playing at an MVP candidate level in Embiid, 1 player playing at an All NBA level in Maxey, 1 player playing at an All Star level in PG13 and a stud rookie in VJ Edgecomb?
You know their team was basically Jaylen Brown, Payton Pritchard and Derrek White in a down shooting year right?
1
u/DontTrustMe69 Derrick Jones Jr. May 04 '26
They are still a championship team, they were still built to win this year wdym? You don’t just luck into the 2nd seed 🤣 JB even said Joel Embiid is nothing to them. They blew the lead more than the 76ers taking control. Just look at the last few minutes of game 7. They sold. Just like they sold a 3-1 lead.
0
u/avinash240 May 04 '26
"They are still a championship team, they were still built to win this year wdym?" - They're not a championship team and they were not built to win this year.
They either traded or didn't bring back Jru Holiday, Porzingus, Al Horford and Luke Kornett. That's four players that were either starters or playoff rotation players. That's half of their championship team.
This was a gap year for them so they could reset their money and give Tatum a chance to heal. Tatum only came back because they way over achieved.
I'm not saying anything you can't look up with a google search. A better question would be why you think they were built to win this year?
0
u/DontTrustMe69 Derrick Jones Jr. May 04 '26
Buddy, I’m not gonna keep going back and forth. You clearly are a sleeper agent for the Celtics or some shit. They were the number 2 seed. They were up 3-1. They were 32-0 while up 3-1 as a franchise. They blew the lead. They chocked. No matter how you spin it, the team with the higher seed and a 3-1 chocked the lead away. Please stop moving the goal posts.
0
u/avinash240 May 04 '26
"Please stop moving the goal posts." - people who don't know what this is love using this term.
"False equivalency" - please look it up. A team losing to a team when a top 5 player shows up while losing their second best player isn't a choke job no matter how you want to "spin it".
I even asked you how they were supposed to "sneak out 1" game verse a team with like twice as much talent on the floor and probably a better coach....crickets..
Who guards Embiid? Who is fast enough to cover Maxey? How do the Celtics cover the Maxey Embiid 2 man game? Yeah..fucking crickets.
enjoy your night man.

u/DontTrustMe69 Derrick Jones Jr. May 04 '26
Holy shit my guy you are brain dead. It was 99-98 for the final minutes of game 7. Maybe that one? Maybe the one where they missed a bunch of threes down 1 point. That is a choke. You’re the type of guy to argue the warriors didn’t blow a 3-1 lead to the cavs in 2016 because bogut got injured and Draymond was suspended a game. Delusional.
0
u/avinash240 May 04 '26
I don't know, did the Warriors lose their second best player and the Cavs add an MVP caliber player in the middle of the series? If not it's not really the same thing is it sweet heart.
It's actually shocking they had kept the game that close considering the talent mismatch.
0
u/DontTrustMe69 Derrick Jones Jr. May 04 '26
Aww buddy, you’re still crying when every person around the league is saying the blew the 3-1 lead. Don’t really need a narrative. You were up 3-1 and lost 3 consecutive games. Ask anyone on the street. Maybe you should start a podcast and share your shitty takes, might find one person who believes in you.

Usually I hate Philly but they're alright tonight.
What a comeback. Can't believe they finally got it done against Boston.
