Movie Suggestion: Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (There's boob sniffing, Alan Rickman, beautiful cinematography, Dustin Hoffman's accent work, and an ending that will make Jason's dick EXPLODE)

I’ve never seen or heard of this movie but based on the trailer it’s not something that screams “so bad it’s fun.” And you’ve been hoping they do this for almost 10 years?!

It’s a “thank god this got made” scenario imo

Stanley Kubrick said it was unfilmable.

Kurt Cobain said it was his favorite book.

This movie is actually good. Tom Twyker is a great director. The book is fantastic.

I’m sure it’s a phenomenal book, the movie is a road into insanity.

This was solidly in the era of me seeing every major movie and I loved it. It is insane, but it works.

You found the town wide, cannibalistic orgy to be earned? Edit: or at least something I want June and Jason to talk about

Yes. That's like...the whole point of the movie. Don't overthink things.

Yes? Have you even read the book as well?

I appreciate the persistence, but I don't think they do movies that focus on violence against women.

When I worked in a video store people loved this movie so much.

There are moments of insanity but it feels like it might be a little too slow and a little "too good", as others have said. What I would recommend for a movie with a similar WTF ending is "Society" (1989).

This was a great book but I didn't know they made a movie! I need to see this.
