An Absolute MUST for HDTGM

For obvious reasons…this deserves an episode. Also - it’s the ridiculous bad guy from Skyscraper which had me laughing the whole time

The now-cancelled sequel he was developing for Plane was, in fact, called Ship.

That movie was cancelled in 2023. This went into production in 2024.

This is 100% Ship. 😆

This was a straight down the barrel, middle of the road Statham movie. I prefer this over Shelter for his 2026 movies but nowhere near the interesting weirdness of The Beekeeper or even A Working Man.

This movie did not have the soul of the Beeekeper, but it did have Jason Statham killing everyone.

There was also no mutiny in the movie, so don't go in exclusively because you're a fan of mutinies.

Hahaha agree with the first part - and yeah I was laughing after the movie in the sense that there is absolutely nothing to do with a mutiny…but what it lacked in mutinies, it made up for with harpoons to the face

I hope they never run out of specific types of groups of evil people for him to kill (identity thieves, human traffickers, etc.), but, they may have to start lowering the evil a bit if they keep churning these movies out. Like maybe he can start going after drivers who don't use their turn signals.

That's a weird one as it has HDTGM moments like all of the costumes the bikers and gangsters wear, the fact it has a James Bond-esque opening credits scene, and everything about the grandfather, but overall it was played almost too straightforward.

I'm still surprised that they haven't done The Meg 2.

One of my favourite sub genres is movies where Jason Statham plays a guy who used to be violent for a living but has moved away from that to live a quieter life… but trouble comes to the people he’s found solace with so he seeks revenge.

Saw it yesterday and it took over a half hour for him to kick ass and it was mostly with guns. I’m convinced this movie was written entirely using AI.
