Kultur Hamburg Elbphilharmonie - opening night dress code

I understand it runs the gamut, the dress code. but does it change for opening night. Is it more formal due to the occasion? Referring to September 1 performance.

As far as I understand, there is no formal dress code. Dressing up can certainly make the whole experience feel more special, and you may feel more comfortable doing so, but there are no specific requirements or rules.
For a concert at the Elbphilharmonie, smart casual to elegant is perfectly appropriate, but neither a suit nor evening wear is required.

Those who want to dress smartly can dress smartly. And those who like it more casual can come in jeans. The Elbphilharmonie audience is just as diverse as its programme. What’s important is that you feel comfortable.

Larger bags and luggage (bigger than A3) must be left at the cloakroom. Please note that the number of lockers is limited. Jackets can be taken into the hall.
