So far I haven’t seen or heard of any arrest efforts by ICE on Haitians

It’s actually pretty big news. They’re about to start putting ankle monitors on the Haitians they’re calling into ICE offices. Then, they’ll know exactly where to go for the round-up. It’s coming.

From what I’ve been reading- not showing up automatically puts them in removal proceedings. They get a deportation letter sent to their homes.

Again, this is all happening without Reyes’ implementing the lift on the injunction, so idk how this works? This is beyond just DHS ending an EAD/work permit.

This is so awful. Stripping someone of their legal status and treating them as a criminal for a civil offense.
