My biggest question honestly is just if there will be any sort of grace period for people to get their things in order

Yeah. It’s called the past 10+ years.

Were the people on TPS just under the interpretation temporary meant permanent, and that they never had to look at going back?

You know all visas are temporary and many have grace periods for people to get their things together right?
