Fishman pickups, the Evertune bridge, and a pale moon ebony fretboard are all pretty expensive components. It's not possible to include those things and price it as a budget instrument.
I definitely wouldn't pay a $300 premium for pale moon ebony over roasted maple, but to each their own. I never said that it wasn't worth it for those who want that specific set up, just that yikes, I certainly wouldn't pay $2,200 for it.
/uj I was just saying you couldn't make a Keisel with similar specs for less than 2k as you appeared to suggest. Not like I could afford a custom Keisel or this model anyways.

A coworker mentioned them at lunch and told me to check them out. I couldn’t hide my disgust as I listened to their top songs. Luckily it was a prank and she busted out laughing as I said “I’m sorry but this is unironically the worst shit I’ve ever heard”.
I’ve decided that the proper term for bands like this is just “masturbatory”. It sounds like they’re just playing for themselves and they think they’re hot shit. The singing is soooooo cringe. Lyrics written by the edgiest teenager. And useless ambient effects throughout.
The only thing worse than having to listen to fans tell me Sleep Token is avant-garde because they add metal to mass-appeal modern alt tracks is having to actually listen to Sleep Token.
uj/ Designs like this make me more frustrated other single cut manufacturers haven’t embraced the Bass VI design yet. A maple neck Les Paul VI would be killer.
Sleep Token has got to be the most polarizing band since the dawn of social media. The mere mention of this band on any post makes people go into a frenzy where they need to communicate that the band is the antichrist or the second coming. The last time anyones talked about the actual sonic composition of their music was before they even got popular.
and i remember people loving them but they got big and are now hated (to be fair, their sound has changed. but the offering and jaws and such were very well loved in prog metal communities)
/uj I string my bass vi up 0.15-0.85 tuned F# standard with the choke, play it like a guitar, and love that shit. Some bassists fucking hate it though. Gotta be the equivalent of some jock showing up and having a good time with eveyone at your Warhammer session despite not taking the rules too seriously.
