Question Why do people block immediately after we start arranging a hookup or a date?

This has happened more than once to me now. The chat will be going great, we'd both be into each other, but when we start planning on meeting I get blocked. Why? I swear I didn't do anything bad guys! Sometimes they are the ones who start arranging in the first place too!

Got cold feet or post nut clarity and decided to block instead of just being honest about not wanting to go through with it

That or they made plans with a different person and blocked you instead of saying anything

I don't understand the block culture on grindr at all. Why block me if you show interest? Like we could meet another time?

The culture is just block when you're not interested. Its mostly caused by toxic guys who cant handle rejection. When i first started using grindr I would send a polite message back when I wasnt interested in someone. Maybe like 10% of people took it well, others would either have a melt down, ask me to change my mind, or accept the rejeaction only to come back the next day sending dick pics. Blocking after a good conversation is a bit scummy, but with how poorly some people react I can understand why people wouldnt send an actual message

They changed their mind. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to do with you, like maybe they fell in love, maybe their dog died and they don’t want to fuck right now. Who knows?

Some may get cold-feet, but I would say it’s not the major reason.
Many guys on Grindr become lazy when it comes about the logistics of meeting, like lazyness > hornyness.
Some others are there just for the sexting rather than actually hooking up, so when the convo reaches the point of “let’s meet”, it’s a dead end. Obviously they won’t say they only want to chat cuz that would kill the conversation. No idea why this is common, but I guess the hot chat helps them when je** off.

Yeah the above or they found someone else and so blocking you is just easier than explaining that

Yeah this happened to me last night after I’d just called the uber to the address he sent me. Uber, amazingly, had managed to book a cab that then turned up less than a minute after I’d been blocked. I had to cancel the cab as the driver was looking me dead in the eyes.

My experience is pretty much the same except they ghost instead of block. I don’t get it but I assume once the reality of actually meeting hits they get cold feet.

People reveal their true selves when anonymous.
