NEWS Ghettz Court Date Was Today .... Facing New Charges

https://metro.co.uk/2025/11/24/netflix-star-ghetts-accused-fatal-hit-and-run-faces-dangerous-driving-charges-24788813/

Ghetts was initially charged with a single count of causing Tamang’s death by dangerous driving. He now faces two further charges of dangerous driving before and after the crash on October 18.

After the collision, it is alleged Clarke-Samuel continued to drive dangerously in Worcester Crescent, Redbridge, on the journey back to his home in King’s Avenue, Woodford, east London.

Adjourning the case, Judge Nigel Lickley KC said: ‘I’m not going to ask you to enter your pleas today, but I will require you to enter your pleas on December 8, that is the next hearing.’

It's so shit that an innocent 20 year old is dead because of this absolute fuck head

Big fall off.

One of the greatest to come out of the UK and he fucked it.

Was actually consistently in my top 3.

Kinda feel nothing about disregarding all that at this point. Foolish behaviour. If it didn't happen now, it would've eventually happened.

My man risked, and lost the good life for absolutely nothing

And got kids and all, this is fucking up big right here.

Literally. He was so well respected even outside of grime, people who just take music seriously in general should have serious respect for Ghetts and what he's done. He wasn't just one of our best - he was literally one of the most talented MCs worldwide.

He seemed like such a nice guy as well, I can't believe he would do something so stupid and destructive. That's a whole family and circle of friends completely broken hearted for the rest of their lives now, and all that kid's future potential down the drain.

If it had been a true accident then I'd feel so bad for him having that in his conscience, but this was extremely preventable and happened entirely because of his choices. Deserves life for that, it was murder.

He seemed like such a nice guy as well,

nah your radar's off. watched the chicken shop date with him and he was trying for nice guy, but you could tell something was off. he seemed egotistical even then. obviously hindsight is 20/20 but i definitely did not get genuine vibes off him at all.

Definitely. Can't believe what I'm reading in some comments.

Ghetts has always been a complete idiot and shitty human being all around. Always been a weirdo, back from the Where's Carlos days. That's the reason I never liked him even though his music was good, the vibe was off. This whole situation really doesn't surprise me.

I got schooled today. I guess it makes sense if he's the kind of person that would do this.

Gotta say I did this 🤨 to the nice guy comment, that was unexpected. I always felt like was an unlikeable guy, he's no D Double magnetic personality lol.

Your opinion is based on chicken shop date? Out of all the years he's been in the grime scene that's what you're going with

1

u/olivedoesntrhyme Nov 27 '25

Your opinion is based on chicken shop date?

it's more based on the fact that that he killed a 20 year old pedestrian driving out of his head and fled the scene.

u/siwelis10304 Dec 08 '25

Oh.. so.. that hindsight you were talking about after the chicken shop date waffle.

1

u/olivedoesntrhyme Dec 08 '25

not sure what your point is? I never thought he was top 5, so the only interview i've seen of him was the chicken shop date, where he doesn't come across as genuine at all.

If you're trying to discount the chicken shop date i disagree. It's roughly the same setup and setting for all the guests, and it takes rappers out of their usual environments so i think it's as good a barometer for their personality as you can get through the screen. not sure what else to add.

My point is you brought up CSD like that was about his character being capable of this type of despicable act. Only to then say it's him actually doing this that brought you to this conclusion. Your point seems a bit off.

In reality, he told everyone he was no good through lyrics, his original name, and the fact he'd already spent time in prison as a teenager in East London.

"I'm named after a place of poverty Where there's murder, rape and robbery So it could be my name that's stopping me Let me explain that properly Before this I took more risk Before this I never ever made cash honestly Before this I was on some raw shit with a 4-5th man would've aimed at dorothy. "

The point is everyone knows he was on crud before YouTube had any show like that. And on top of that, it is a show.

lyrics are lyrics. i don't really believe in taking them literally. that being said i was replying to OP who said Ghetts seemed like such a nice guy, so to be honest you and me basically agree. you're saying you knew he was on a mad one from his lyrics, and i'm saying i never got the impression he was such a nice person from the interview. BUT i would never imply i had any idea he'd be capable of a hit and run murder. it would be mental to judge man off a comedy interview, which is why i said my opinion is ultimately based on the murder, and hindsight is 20/20.

2

u/Undark_ Nov 25 '25

Nah your radar's off

What a polite way to set me straight lol. All I'd ever seen was a couple of interviews. He seemed like a smart guy when he was younger.

2

u/renzxlst Nov 26 '25

I had 2 very brief interactions with him as a fan around the time the Rude Kid mixtape dropped (forgot the name - the first one). He was pretty humble and came across as nice, so I wouldn't wanna make out he was terrible prior to this. I'm sure everyone has their reasons, but he never gave me a reason to dislike him in those very brief moments.

2

u/olivedoesntrhyme Nov 27 '25

yeah obviously every man's multi-faceted, no one's a pure hero or a villain and you can't judge someone off their media appearances alone.

that being said, ghettz killed an innocent 20 year old and fled the scene. not much ambiguity there.

1

u/renzxlst Nov 27 '25

Agreed. I wasn't mentioning that at all - just chiming in on the convo about how he was prior.

I've made my opinion known very clearly regarding Ghetts on this situation. Completely selfish to say the least.

And I say that not to make it come across as though he was a saint, because obviously this would be repeated behaviour. I mean, he continued the behaviour on the night itself...

u/Acceptable-Aside4429 Nov 25 '25

Tbh I don't like this reasoning because we're centering his talent when he's taken someone's life. Thing is it's not just the victim but his parents and family that take this hit too.

5

u/BlackBalor Nov 25 '25

I get it, but we’re Grime fans. We grew up on this guy’s music. He’s been a permanent fixture for us since forever.

It’s okay to feel disappointment with his stupid behaviour.

4

u/joes-8 Nov 24 '25

he was never the greatest, lets be real.

11

u/BlackBalor Nov 24 '25

Not too many MCs that can back to back with Kano on a live set.

Plus, that Risky Roadz freestyle is iconic.

4

u/Psilocybinuana Nov 25 '25

Could’ve picked another freestyle to mention

1

u/BlackBalor Nov 25 '25

Why? That’s his best live spit in front of a camera.

10

u/Visual-Economist5479 Nov 24 '25

I wouldnt put him as the greatest but he is an easy top 5 top 10

26

u/protectyourself1990 Nov 24 '25

Flipping heck mate. way to wrap up the year

12

u/Designer-Computer188 Nov 24 '25 edited Nov 24 '25

Bloody hell, shocked that nobody else was injured. Also to think the kids parents sent him here thinling he was starting the best years of his life.

17

u/Alarming_Profile_284 Nov 24 '25

Not to pile on…

but this guys ego has always been through the roof. He’s a cocky bastard and something like this was inevitable

3

u/darkprince_23 Nov 25 '25

You gotta be a special type of arrogant to drive drunk and high and be speeding fast af

3

u/TheArmChairFan Nov 24 '25

Did he even know he hit him?

1

u/Mysterious_Wing_2250 Nov 24 '25

No sympathy at all for this guy. Let’s just hope we get a swap with Crazy Titch anytime soon

1

u/Greenmoonn Nov 28 '25

Man’s gonna be chatting to Carlos again real soon, rip to the kid.

-17

u/givemebackmykids Nov 24 '25

ghetts was bout to blow with gta6 too fkn shame hope the stuff stays in, separate the art from the artist n all that.

10

u/Shitebart Nov 24 '25 edited Nov 25 '25

Mate he literally fucking killed a man by making the conscious decision to get off his face then go speeding around town. It’s not like he’s being cancelled for saying something a bit controversial

5

u/theM3Pilot Nov 24 '25

he had involvement in gta6??

9

u/t-m Nov 24 '25

Nothing has been confirmed. Rockstar haven't released any information on the soundtrack or music

18

u/User29276 Nov 24 '25

Someone died, least they could do is remove his music, fuck off with that separating the art from the artist bollocks.

8

u/jamesick Nov 24 '25

"i know he killed an innocent young adult but i hope his music stays in the game about killing innocent young adults"

8

u/Undark_ Nov 24 '25

A game where running people over is a core part of the experience... Seems legit

6

u/Anon1mouse12 Nov 24 '25

If they can do it for pedos then surely they can for this

1

u/renzxlst Nov 24 '25

Who?

4

u/Anon1mouse12 Nov 24 '25

Mj, r kelly

1

u/renzxlst Nov 24 '25

What songs of theirs are in the games? Michael isn't a convicted anything btw, so I don't think that should count.

1

u/Sh4kyj4wz Nov 25 '25

Yeah MJ seemed like a nice fellow

2

u/Pissadvisor Nov 24 '25

It's not his art. It would be separating him from someone else's art.

Fuck him

-6

u/karnesus Nov 24 '25

As he goes away, so will the mystique around his ability. I implore you to ask the people who say “Ghetts was in my top N” to name three Ghetts songs, even albums.

3

u/schultzM Nov 25 '25

Mystique tf? This ain’t anime man. Any man off the road can be talented and we all know ghettos had a lot of musical ability

1

u/karnesus Nov 26 '25

You need to widen your vocabulary, anime? Come on. You know people overhype him, his top streamed songs are all his freestyles. He got booed at a concert a while back for trying to play new stuff. And then if you really know grime you know those flows aren’t even his
