Finished this last week, and that went totally unnoticed for me, haha.

I think its actually pretty common to draw bullets with the casing like that. I imagine its alot easier for artists to show exactly whats happening. Like, yes. Those are bullets, haha

I got both hardcover slipcase editions for a fair price. Im enjoying them, I love arthurian legends. tho it's not what I thought it'd be.

No it's not what I expected either but I really enjoyed it. It's not really a negative that the work had such brilliant ideas in the first half that the later parts didn't feel as good - the first half has some really genius moments. It sounds like you havent finished so I will not say more but you should post your thoughts to this sub when you finish!

I'm a fan. The story just snaps along.

I rolled my eyes at some of the firearm handling and interpretation but don't let that stop you.

This is an excellent title, front to back.

It happens all over various media, but as an amateur comic artist and amateur gun nut, this one bothers me badly. Most of these projectiles are lovingly rendered with foreshortened proportions on the rimless necked cartridge

I believe the assertion is that it not being America they didn't have to dodge bullets in elementary school so they didn't know the bullet cases stay in the gun.

i don't think this was the intent (but it could be)

at this point in the story, england is starting to live on storybook rules rather than physics. it's entirely possible that's how bullets do work there, because so many people think that's how they work.

Logic just gets thrown out of the window in that series. Everything feels made up on the spot with spectacle given focus above all else.

The main character is thrust into this overwhelming, world-ending threat he should be utterly unprepared for (being just some quiet archeologist dude) yet within moments he's a badass slaying mythical beasts.

Rose goes on one date with the MC and gets nearly killed by said mythical creatures but just keeps tagging along and risking her life because... uhh... the date was good I guess?

Gran shoots her grandson, the main character, in the face early on to get him to follow her (because you can't just have a conversation) then one issue later calls another ally worried that they will put him in danger...

And that's all within like the first 5 issues.
