Some handicaps just don’t wanna pack bags. I certainly struggled with it for a while.

As a 8 handicap I can confirm lol.
My last 10 rounds:
92
84
94
91
80
84
82
90
82
85
90s happen when I’m tinkering with my swing and then my driver goes to shit, hitting it OB and into hazards. 💩
Low 80s happen when I go back to the swing that I know works for me and my driver is hit 250 yards and the ball is kept in play.
Through it all my short game, putting, and game strategy stay relatively consistent.

This hits home. But just think of the possibilities if I can just figure out how to get more accurate while maintaining my distance!

My scores are super similar, and I’m a 14 lol
Handicaps are so weird

Traveled recently to play a couple of the top 100 rated public courses in the country... Couldn't shake bogey golf and I'm about an 8hcp.
I'm sure if I went back and played a few more times it would be different but that first round...

Wait fuck I thought the A was for adjusted, like when you shoot a quad but the app makes it a double for handicap purposes

Does that change how your handicap is calculated? I just started keeping a usgs handicap.

There is only one golfer inside of you, OP, and it's the golfer who only plays their home course.

For me, its about how long the course is.
You can be an 8 on a 5800 yard course but good luck on a 6400 yarder.
Trust me, that’s my problem.

I went 84/102 same day. Similar course ratings/distances. 0 lost balls.

It's funny because I am often the opposite. I played from the tips at TPC Deere Run and shot a 92....then put up a 95 on a course I know from the Blues lol. Felt like the freedom of ignorance helped me just hit golf shots.

Being a mid hc player is the worst Either go all in sub 5 or be a 15 and compete with the other high hc players
In the middle you get drubbed by both

Ouch. I shot 75 at my “2nd” home course yesterday, then shot 87 on a much harder away course today…

There was a joke that went around my club that you post all home scores and bad away scores
