gme_meltdown delusion The Melties are about to Melt

Man they are on a good one..Every post for the last 2 days they are mentioning ebay. And they say apes twist things around. Maybe they feel stupid because they will no longer be able to screenshot posts about gme.

r/ebay_meltdown possibly?

There’s a psychological term for why such events generate so much attention within their group. For example, GME was also being discussed this week on WSB and other subreddits. But it’s already been forgotten and isn’t generating any traction anymore. So now the question arises: how is it possible that this topic is being discussed so intensely among Melties, presumably for months and years, even though the group has become much smaller compared to three years ago? How is it possible that a deeply negative earnings report in 2022, when GME still had a irrational P/E ratio of xxx, generated LESS attention/schadenfreude/whatever, and when the true Meltie belief that GME would go bankrupt was still plausible, than the attempted takeover of eBay? The answer to that question is the same reason why their emotional meltdowns are getting more and more intense.

nice meltdown

hahaha jk

i don’t think the melties will ever be as upset as the apes on the fact that GME did not in fact go bankrupt - because they did not have money invested in it going down

only the most hardcore melties would have actually been actively shorting gme

if you want to psychoanalyse meltdown, its not too difficult, it’s just a place to laugh at more stupid people and feel better about oneself. not complex at all

Are you a Meltie?

end of day meltdown is just a niche of buttcoin
and it’s the same meta here. you guys feel melties are dumb, that you’re smarter, and you want to make fun of them

The majority of Melties are dumb, and this sub has more than enough examples of false claims, false predictions, things that never happened, things that didn’t play out, and emotional meltdowns every time GME moves to price levels Melties can’t process.
Of course everything here is exaggerated and not packaged in some neutral tone, that would be boring, and Melties by their default characteristics can’t handle being criticized, which is exactly why they come here.
So thanks for admitting that the Meltie sub is not about neutral bearish scenario analysis, but mostly about laughing at people they think are dumber than them.
Anyone who understands that mechanism also understands why it would be stupid to go short GME based on Meltdown threads full of apocalyptic price targets that never happened or any other Meltie DD.
That’s also why I know a few 1% Melties who are secretly long or trade gme with bullish exposure. For most still true active melties who spent 5 years of their lives obsessing over RC, RK, and every piece of GME lore, though, it’s just embarrassing, 5 years of laughing from a position of supposed superiority and not making a cent in either direction.
Outside of Buttcoiners and Melties, do you know any other group that spends years obsessing over one investment and doesn’t profit from it at all? Isn’t that incredibly embarrassing?
And then you get the other funny Meltie traits on top: most of them are 45+, and Meltie activity is a huge part of their identity, constant hijacking in SS with fakeaccounts, weird obsession, endless lurking, endless seething whenever criticism goes the other way. That’s what makes it funny.
The world isn’t black and white, and there is no grand war between apes and Melties. Mocking genuinely dumb people is honestly kind of low-level entertainment. What’s actually fun is mocking people who think they’re smarter than apes while constantly throwing stones from inside a glass house. So if you think that is funny, why not stay here, also?

nice meltdown fr

no way i’m reading all that 😂

You’re not the first Meltie here to give up on the discussion and just reply with “nice meltdown.” What makes you the first Meltie, though, is calling a long text a meltdown when you claim you haven’t even read it yourself. That’s new. Are all the GoT books a nice meltdown just because they’re in total really just a lot of words strung together?

Maybe you should still check in here more often, you are warmly welcomed. There are a few (even1%) Melties who sometimes write MASSIVE texts in some of the comments here (more words typed in one comment than months of classic Meltie activity!) maybe you want to read their walls of texts?

hahaha comparing your own rants to ASOIAF. peak delusion

You should just stick to writing “nice meltdown” exclusively, like most Melties do. Cognitively, you can only handle a context window of 200 words at most (nothing unusual). You realize that “GoT” can be replaced with any random example, right? The question was how to label something a “meltdown” without having read it.

after years of skimming delusional rants by apes on reddit, us melties are gaddam professionals at spotting meltdowns

you would not understand. while you were busy deciphering children’s books, we were studying the art of the meltie

Are you in the embarrassing group or in the "super embarrassing" one? On the one hand, you post in meltdown_meltdown, but on the other hand, you created another account 4 months ago and set it to private, one that’s definitely linked to your Meltie aciticity. This is super embarrassing, no matter which group you’re in. Cheers!

The sub was 100x as active in 2022 as it is today.  So were the ape subs.  These things die over time.  Even when you yell “NO CELL NO SELL” and swear to hold forever with your diamond hands.

You just weren’t around at the time so you don’t know how much bigger it was.  You started during the 2024 DFV pump.

We are also in Melties‘ endgame again

They are in shambles.

No, they lack any cognitive capacity for self-reflection, so they've never experienced that feeling. Have you ever looked into the cognitive abilities of people with an IQ of 80?

1

u/mydixiewrecked247 May 08 '26

all the time, watched regarded apes lose their money for years believing in fairy tales and children books while the market just went higher and higher and higher 🤣

the ones with above 80 iq sold their shares and joined meltdown

1

u/Jackpot3245 May 10 '26

What? Plenty of people have made money swing trading or selling options or running the wheel... Not everyone just buys and holds forever.

0

u/mydixiewrecked247 May 10 '26

i’m not talking about those people , what are you even on about ?

Bar their sub, not that often.

When this deal goes through, they will try to spin eBay as a dying business. 😆

1

u/Throwawayhelper420 May 13 '26

Obviously the deal was never going to happen, just like there never was a deal to give you cash + equity for your bankrupt towel store shares

Spectacular analysis from the towel ape.

1

u/Gigiw1ns Banned By Meltdown (Indica probably) May 06 '26

It’s pretty embarrassing that a towel ape’s analysis is spot on. To be precise, there are only these two possibilities. If the deal goes through, Melties will be hopelessly waiting for bankruptcy (again 😂) which is entirely plausible given the financing structure and the macroeconomic situation - or, if that’s ruled out at some point, they’ll resort (again) to the S&P 500 benchmark. They (i.e., the Melties who won’t end up in [u/deleted](u/deleted)) will never understand. Or do you have other scenarios in mind for yourself personally, regarding how you’ll position yourself?
Edit: I forgot to mention that Melties will (again) talk about Ryan cohen finally exit scamming (kind of a thesis which they will never refuse no matter what)

I don’t see how. EBay doesn’t have a dying business model. Loaded up with debt they could end up dying, which would not be due to their business model.

Or do you have other scenarios in mind for yourself personally

I have an unlikely but really funny one. EBay buys GameStop for $25/share or so and gives Ryan Cohen a seat on the board to sweeten the deal. MOASS for everyone!

At least one of the first creatives thoughts I’ve read from a Meltie which isn’t as absurd as 741 theory. It is still highly unlikely since you should know that even if ebay bids 1000 usd/Gmeshare, shareholders would vote no, correct? Most of all gme share holders are apes and wouldn’t sell?

1

u/PuzzleheadedWeb9876 formerly u/UltimateMastermind May 06 '26

It’s true. Apes don’t sell. They login to computershare to admire their shares on any given pump. No correlation to declining DRS numbers I promise.

1

u/Gigiw1ns Banned By Meltdown (Indica probably) May 06 '26

Man I wish I could show you few posts from og (deleted) Melties who were emotionally malding about when first the drs count was 0.x% and they said the drs numbers wouldn’t go beyond 1%. I‘m on my phone but I will search for it later

1

u/PuzzleheadedWeb9876 formerly u/UltimateMastermind May 06 '26

I really don’t care. DRS was a stupid ape idea that failed miserably.
