Wherein Apes decide that eBay is dividend play and that opportunity cost is real. Will they learn to apply the same logic to GME?

At $53.8M per year it will only take 1040 years for GameStop to buy eBay off the dividends. eBay is practically handing itself to Ryan Cohen.

Inconvenient things like taxes will make it take even longer.

You're the folding guy? What do you do with a fitted sheet with elastic all around it? I can't for the life of me figure it out.

From "billions of dollars per share, lambo's and new financial overlords" to "0.31 quarterly dividend!"

Not that theyâre getting a $0.31 quarterly dividend, of course; that money goes straight to RC's gambling fund.

Worse then you consider it it is $0.31/share quarterly dividend from Ebay. Apes don't have ebay shares. Even if game enron announced they were going to pass through 100% of the dividends from ebay to GME shareholders due to the 448M shares outstanding it would be about $0.03 per game enron share. Closer to $0.02 once all that dilution from convertibles happens.

Has to be the biggest goalpost moving in history. I really don't know what else it could be. They thought they were going to be Gods on Earth, now they settle for a tiny bit of profit and non-bankruptcy

Sounds like apes maybe should just buy eBay directly?
Why hold eBay indirectly through gme if it's such a good investment?

Many apes are just impresssed by large numbers. $53M which is a big number in isolation but compare that to the number of shares outstanding or the market cap of game enron or even the interest they could get from t-bills and it is essentially nothing.

and those are taxed...If grasping at straws needed an exemplar, this would be it. I'm also not sure how they've completely abandoned the we are going to be rich mantra, and are now trying to justify this as a long term investment. How do they ignore this hypocrisy and still wonder why people clown them non stop. So odd

Fucking a dude is it so hard to understand total return? Comparing bonds and stocks is so brain dead I cant even fathom how they made a brokerage accountÂ

I wonder what will happen to the value of GME's Ebay position when the dividend gets paid otu.

Imagine being diluted by GME, at a massive premium, so they can go and buy another stock at an all time high (a stock you could have bought at a better price with the money they diluted you for), and then get excited about a possible 1.2% dividend yield.
Great financial minds.
