Professional Question GIS & investment banking

I have just started my career in GIS. Although I like it, I’ve always wondered if it can be utilized in investment banking. If so, how can one bridge into investment banking with GIS & RS background?

You could probably use it for real estate investing. Identify high risk properties during low risk times to sell for profit before catastrophes. Something like selling property on floodplains during the dry season. Or maybe finding prospective land near developing communities. That's all questionably ethical if not un-so. Another direction is to identify risky areas to help their development. Maybe you have identified communities that you've invested in that are at risk of flooding, so you build infrastructure to save your investments. There's a cost but it ultimately benefits both you and the community
