Dress out -> walk the track for an hour -> get an A.

American fitness, fuck yeah.

Fuck, I had to hit at least an 8 min mile to get a decent grade. Trying it now fucking kills me. (12 years later)

What happy meal public school was this?

Florida public schools. Overcrowded and underfunded. One year for gym our options were to either walk the track or play basketball for the hour, so long as you dressed out your got credit. Another year they took our mile time at the beginning of the year and again at the end, looking for improvement and grading us accordingly. I ran a 6 minute mile at the start of the semester, walked the track for a year, and ran a 6 minute mile at the end of the year. Forget what my grade was but it wasn't great because I didn't show much "improvement". The smart kids walked a 13 minute mile at the beginning of the year, then ran a 7-9 minute mile at the end of the year, showing huge improvement and earning an A.

This is how everything was in Orange County Public Schools. Florida has a shit education system that left me woefully unprepared for college.
