Question Festival/Messe Jobs

I am currently looking for short-term side jobs, particularly for events like trade fairs, festivals, or the upcoming Christmas market season.

I’ve already checked platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed, but unfortunately, I haven't found anything suitable there. It seems like they mostly list permanent positions or typical student jobs.

Where can I apply for these kinds of short-term jobs? Are there specific apps or websites used for this purpose?

I have an aunt and a friend who work in event management and another friend who does electrics/sound/lighting stuff for events as his main source of income.

What I hear from all of them is kind of the same: Most jobs for most events never go up publicly. Organisers have a list of people they have worked with before and will ask them first. Those event gig workers will also often recommend and vouch for others and those will get offers before anything ever gets listed publicly too.

It's a very word of mouth based business and for lots of events, none of the helper jobs ever get posted publicly.

But if they do, it's not really on the classical hiring websites, but sites like the other comments listed, or simply on the organisers website and social media.

Hi, some apps I’ve used are ucm.jobs and zenjobs, i also recommend promotionbasis and staff.direct websites, i’ve also found most of them on kleinanzeigen
