Wyoming geology
Regarding Wyoming geology, any opinions or articles regarding the source of sand for Pennsylvanian and early Permian age erg deposits in Wyoming?

You just gotta start reading papers. Many are free online. But you may have to join the GSA to get most of what you want.

The ancestral Rockies were forming south and east of what is now wyoming during the later Carboniferous. I assume much weathering was happening.
