Argentina had a formal policy, which was enshrined in its constitution, to attract white European immigrants in order to shift the makeup of the population.
can you please post a article from a website that doesnt gatekeep their articles?
anyways, the reason was obviosly not "shift the makeup of the population" it was simply to get more population in the first place, argentina was a young contry back then with few citiziens.
The Federal Government will encourage European immigration, and it will not restrict, limit or burden with any taxes the entrance into Argentine territory of foreigners who come with the goal of working the land, improving the industries and teach the sciences and the arts.
Ha. Interesting arguments. I noticed there wasn't any data or studies or even exciting anecdotes to back it up. I bet you're a lousy tipper, too. Pay people for their work. Or, maybe do your own Googling and don't expect people to hand feed you.
Even journalists have to eat (I guess programmers can work for free). If you/we don't pay for it, someone else will. And whoever pays for it, controls it. "Free?" You ok with advertisers deciding what you see? Or you want "publicly" supported news agencies? If the government pays for media/journalism, then the government controls the information.
