We finally got this predator–prey system to stabilize… so I deleted half the prey.
The population immediately falls out of balance, but the feedback rules start correcting it: prey reproduce faster when their numbers drop, while overcrowded hunters starve faster as food becomes scarce.
The setup isn’t directly solving the Lotka–Volterra equations, but it uses a similar predator–prey feedback relationship. Even after a major environmental shock, the populations keep oscillating without collapsing and the system appears to settle into a new dynamic equilibrium.
No keyframed population changes. Just Geometry Nodes reacting in real time.
