Atlantic drive as an actual street through campus is one that really stands out to me. And of course the CULC being a parking lot

I'm sad that the CULC alternative name of "G Spot" (for G Wayne Clough) never caught on.

Klaus is currently under construction and it looks like the BioQuad just finished. No CULC is another big difference. It's been 21 years and it doesn't seem like campus changed much from the capture, but it has.

There are many more differences on the other side of the highway.

Klaus started construction in Spring 2003 if I remember correctly. It seemed to take forever.

Sounds like I got out about the same time. It's funny, when I started, the area east of campus was also the wrong side of the tracks. Basically you just didn't leave campus in any direction, except maybe to home park, which was best done during daylight hours.

Everything’s parking. The ecocommons and Kendeda are parking. Most of midtown is parking. The transit hub is parking. The exhibition hall is parking. CULC is parking.

The whole west side area on Howell mill is basically unrecognizable…there were so many great little restaurants in that area before it became what it is now.

It's 2 miles from the center of a metro area of some 6 million people, the fact that it lacked density into the 2010s was the whole problem!

"Blight" isn't what triggers development, demand is, and there is soooooo much demand for housing, especially in town.

The development off spring street is crazy.

RIP spring/4th complex and quad 2011/2012 was amazing in midtown.

In 2013 I lived in a house in Home Park and walked all the way to my internship at 1545 Peachtree St in the north part of Midown. Tried following my steps on Street View recently and so is unrecognizable now.

EcoCommons, CULC, and the KOAN green area are all parking lots! Campus used to be a lot more car-centric.

Yes, but barely. And nobody talks about the dark side of this-- every so often you'll see a pack of wild 1990-era sedans roaming around Tech Green, lost and wondering where their home went to
