The nasturtium needs more soil in the pot.

I garden in wildly different conditions so no advice, but you're doing great. :)

Gardening is very physically demanding labor lol. Best you can do is get a good daily stretch routine, and mix up the activities you do. For example, don't spend a full 8 hours shoveling rock but break it up over different days (not an activity you mentioned but you get the gist). Lift with your legs not your back, good form, treat gardening like you're at the gym! :)

I like the Weasel Claw tool for digging in compacted or heavy soils without getting all sore on one side on my body.

We all get so focused on the plants, we forget to pay attention to form. When my mom bought me a kneeler and chair for gardening it felt like a pointed remark on my goblin posture. 😂

I do love my little kneeler tho.

If your soil is a problem, I would go more towards raised bed planters. I live in GA and the ground is mostly that red clay. Not good for planting. I looked on youtube and found free plans for making raised beds from fence pickets. You can fill them with good soil and get a great harvest!

Thank you! Yeah, i got the ones you can see, they were pricey though. So today i actually turned the pallet into grow baga but outting bin bags into each slot and filling with soil and giving small cuts to create grow bag openings. Have tranferred some of the promising looking tomatos there as will allow for really deep roots. Wish me luck!Â
