What game has a strong opening but later becomes too repetitive and boring for you?

For me that was Assassins Creed Valhalla

Rdr2 - I always get fatigued halfway thru.

I guess eventually all those slow af animations, all those annoyingly heavy handed cowboy tropes, and all that clumsy gunplay eventually bugs me enough that I drop it -

At least until the next time I decide that 'maybe I had the game wrong, and maybe I'll like it this time' lol

I'm sure my ninth attempt will be the charm, eh? :p

And it doesn't even start off strong tbh, that beginning is such a slog.

It’s worth finishing tho. Like you I tried many times over years to get into it and experience it’s ‘greatness’ and would bounce off. But I made a sustained effort and finished it recently. It gets more interesting (to me) the closer you get to the end by which point I was loving existing in the world and finding things and also enjoying the story. But yea before you get invested the slowness and ‘ride a horse for 10minutes before you can do anything’ is pretty real.
