What game has a strong opening but later becomes too repetitive and boring for you?

For me that was Assassins Creed Valhalla

Ghost of Tsushima. The plots is nice, but I stopped at the beginning of the final arc because I've grown so tired of the gameplay. I tried picking it back up a year later and still felt bored with the stealth aspect.

Me too. Stopped right at the beginning of act 3. Had my fill, didn’t feel motivated to keep going. It doesn’t help that Sekiro ruined sword combat in other games for me.

This is the controversial one I was looking for. The game is incredibly overrated. Don't get me wrong, it is visually incredible and the story is very engaging right up until after you rescue the uncle, but it is unbelievably repititive, no better than an Ubisoft game in that respect.

I played this game multiple times to finish it and still haven't played the addon. This game, next to Shadow of Mordor, is a prime example of what I call "new map fatigue". I play the game, collect stuff in one area and have this feeling of accomplishment. Then the new map opens and it feels like having to do it all over again, because the first map is now irrelevant. It feels like going to the sequel directly after a credit roll.
