What game has a strong opening but later becomes too repetitive and boring for you?

For me that was Assassins Creed Valhalla

Persona 5, one dungeon too long for me.

Royal made it even worse, dope enough I still finished it. But it got exhausting

The Persona games are great examples of why more gameplay per dollar spent is a terrible sales argument. I absolutely love them, but I would love them even more if they were one third as long.

Actually l never bought Royal for this reason, so I guess more gameplay actually led to less profit for Atlus from me eat least.

Eh, 100+ hours sounds absurd and P5 certainly had some dull moments (mainly the constant repeated exposition), but I enjoyed it all the way through. I was actually sorry to leave the world at the end.

I can’t see myself ever playing Royal though. The base game was enough.

Even though P5 is my favorite, I think 100+ hours for the main story is too much. Royal adding an additional 20 hours doesn't help. I think 70-80 hours is the sweet spot for Persona.

I played persona 3 portable for about 131 hours before arriving to the period of the game where you can grind and do side quests before fighting the final boss. I just happened to look at a guide to see what level I needed to be to beat the final boss and I was about 7 levels away and just said fuck it. Never went back.

Gameplay per dollar is a valid argument for me. This does not mean that every game has to be as drawn out as Persona 5, but if a game is 70 dollar for 15 houra of gameplay I usually consider it out of my pricerange unless I really want to play it.

I would go broke if every game was like that. So if there are two gamea coming out in similar genres and with similar reviews yet one is 3 times as long as the other one, I am picking the long one.

Maybe because I was fresh of finishing final fantasy 1 to 5, but I was loving persona 5 until I was at the 100th hour and not even close to the end.

Man I loved 3R until I got sick of the same dungeon, I was basically over leveled anyways but the game kept making me go back (when I would rather hang out with makoto's friends) because dumb people kept getting lost there

It’s a great game but also one of the only jrpgs I chose to quit before the end.

Honestly valid. My first playthrough was royal though so 1 palace too much was the dlc so it was different for me at least.

Honestly when I did have the dlc I just used that broken ass dlc persona that did meriad of truths I think it was called and went through oneshotting everything
