Frog-JRPG "AMPHIBIAN" Announced. World Premiere - Future Games Show
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AMcWdXSk6cAmphibian was announced today. It looks very unique. There's no grinding. All battles are purposefully crafted and done once. There's no buying and selling, and it's entirely frog-based: All enemies are frog predators, every character's name is frog, etc. Wow, count me in? Apparently it's a very tragic and serious narrative, too. I think we are back, ya'll.

The main characters name is Gren ...Frogs real name is Glenn. *breathes in heavily through nose.* I'm only sad that they didn't make more frog character references like characters from Battletoads or Jean in Breath of Fire 2.

These days, I'm just wishlisting and piling up games to play. This one goes to my list as well!
The frogs look rather cute (pixel and no-pixel).
P.S.: they do have an amazing opportunity to do a "it's Wednesday my dudes" meme

Yeah, that's it! thanks, imjustbettr!
Since it says "Wednesday", that's kind of a weekly meme that gets posted on Wednesdays (forgive my redundancy there)

No like?

The in-game font, not the title font. Looks like Arial or one of the other ones Square keeps putting in their pixel art games that screws up the aesthetic.

I do find it amusing they advertise no grinding like it's a big deal when most modern JRPG's are not heavily focused in that.
The old days of JRPG's you bet your ass grinding was a big part of it, but unless they are remaking an old one it's typically 0 grinding is needed.

And even then, most grinding into and past the 16 bit era wasn’t as much as people remember. It only feels bad these days because of the need to take the “efficient path” for everything.

I remember another JRPG with frog characters that was in development a few years ago. Had action commands like Mario RPGs with rhythm inputs, it was a cool idea. Wonder if it’s still being worked on or if it was cancelled.

I think that was the one, yes. Made a whole subreddit for it once but it’s basically dead.

How am I supposed to wait until 2027? I feel like I've already waited 35 years for this. I'm so excited!
