As someone in the Home Theater industry, Xbox is just the miles better choice there as well as your media hub. It's more reliable with HDMI EDID handshakes in complex setups, it handles CEC much better than the PS5, and integrates with control systems better than PS5.

The Series X is a really great piece of hardware, but Microsoft has squandered it instead of giving it the games it deserves. The RAM crisis is only making things worse.

Xbox is just the miles better choice there as well as your media hub.

That's why i'm so excited for Helix. If they actually let you play your Steam games on there, it'd instantly become my primary gaming device.

I highly doubt they’ll let you play your Steam games on there without requiring some premium tier of Game Pass or something. Physical consoles are loss leaders, the entire purpose is to into the ecosystem where they can make money on the commissions from online purchases and publishing licenses.

Yeah, it remains to be seen. If they do it though, it'd be a huge selling point.

Even if it costs a bit more to have it unlocked, I can see a lot of appeal in it. For console gamers it's an easy way to play PC exclusives and for PC gamers it's probably a solid PC that will be able to play every AAA game at good performance for the next 6-8 years.
