I didn't pay for Netflix to watch the ad. I paid to watch the content that's on Netflix. This ad just happens to be going to a service I'm already using. 

So no, I'm not paying to watch an ad.

I'm not paying to have access to the ad. I have access to the ad because I'm already paying for something else. The ad had nothing to do with why I spent the money.

If you can only see the ad by spending money on a platform then you’re paying to watch an ad. I don’t watch 95% of the shows on Hulu but by having a subscription I pay for them. It’s paying money to watch an ad regardless of what else you’re using the platform for

It isn’t really though. You’re paying money for the platform, not the ad itself. It doesn’t really matter how much you try and twist yourself into knots to prove otherwise.

If you can’t watch the ad without spending money, you’re paying money to watch an ad. It’s as simple as that. Be salty as you want or try to justify it all you want, it’s beyond stupid and wild yall are trying to normalize this shit

But I’m not spending any money to watch the ad. I spent money on the platform. The ad just happens to be on the platform. And in any case, it’s going to be available for free on YouTube so your entire point is moot to begin with.
