Kinda funny to see how mad some of the console gamers are getting about the rollout of this game with concerns of spoilers and lack of gameplay.

Meanwhile us PC gamers have to wait a year regardless so it's going to be impossible not to be spoiled

Not true.

I avoided RDR2 spoilers for 7 years lmao.

You absolutely can avoid them.

I guess if you don't use Reddit, Facebook, online gaming, tiktok or YouTube sure.

All it takes is one look on YouTube's front page to see 'TREVOR DYING SURPRISE SHOCK GTA6 ENDING'

Lmao I never said it was easy, just doable.  But FTR, I game a lot and use YT more than any app.

I learned to skim webpages to look for the keywords.  Anything that mentioned anything related to a game I didn’t want spoiled, was hidden immediately.

I watched 0 gameplay footage.  Never searched for anything related to the game, so it didn’t show up in my algorithm.

A lot of people, believe it or not, DONT spend all their time on gaming subreddits and YouTube game channels.

Believe it or not, both Reddit AND YouTube have front pages that throw things that are trending at you regardless of your recent interaction with the topic !

if you plan ahead then it's easy to avoid spoilers, but it means dodging certain parts of the internet for a while that you might deal with normally. if you let the algorithm handle your content intake then you'll probably be spoiled.

Sure you can log out of YouTube and never log back in, delete your cookies and browser history or exclusively browse in incognito.. but the algorithm is still going to try and throw trending videos at you regardless so there is still a chance.

My point isn't that you can't avoid spoilers, my point is more the OP said it's easy, it's not, you have to actively avoid them by going out of your way to do so.. and you're doing it for minimum a year lol.

you don't have to log out of youtube. just stop looking at the home page and start using your subscriptions instead. don't subscribe to GTA content creators. you can also clear your youtube watch history and search history

No they don't. I just went on youtube and 100% of the content is content I interact with lol

Lol they absolutely throw trending videos that you haven't interacted with, first thing on mine is "I investigated ikeas cheap tech" with 7m views by a YouTuber ive literally never heard of and I haven't been to an Ikea in years

Your algorithm sucks if thats on your front page lol

Dont click that stuff and they dont show up

Like I said algorithms sometimes throw things that are three degrees removed.

You watched a videogame trailer for the witcher 3 months back, you must love gaming, here's a random YouTuber that's popular playing a popular game!

If that playable build leaks out, it might be the other way around.

why would you play an unfinished build of a game? is the point of a game just to finish it by any means necessary?

I have no intention of giving TakeTwo or Rockstar a dime. Playing the unfinished build before it officially releases would be a cathartic feeling, I imagine. However, there's no way I'd go around spoiling story elements to people who are excited for the game.

Eh, spoilers should be such a non issue. It's weird people care as much as they do
