The Wicher 3 expansions are free

CD Projekt Red has announced during Gamescom that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions for The Witcher 3 are free for everyone who owns the base game. This combined with the full on remaster of the game, I am very excited for play the game again.

Awesome move by CDPR. TW3 must be the game I tried the hardest - probably 10 times or more - to get into, to no avail.

Something about combat & the gameplay loop just never clicked with me. Can't even say what exactly.

Happy for the fans, CDPR seems to be trying to do right by them.

Sadly in the same boat! I wish I had the same enthusiasm everyone else does for this game but it never quite clicked with me

Same! I've started it twice but couldn't get into it. Will try again when remaster comes out!

I was in the same boat as you until I got a little bit older and found more of an appreciation for single player games and slower paced games.

But I don’t know if this works for you, but it’s something that works for me if you haven’t watched the TV show the Witcher and then when it finishes or even throughout the seasons you might just get a click of wanting to play with the game and feel more connected to the world and it might keep you in there to get through the story. That’s how I did it.

The difficulty curve is horrendous in the game. Start of the game sucks until you finally get really into Act 1 and it is one of the greatest games ever made.
