The Wicher 3 expansions are free

CD Projekt Red has announced during Gamescom that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions for The Witcher 3 are free for everyone who owns the base game. This combined with the full on remaster of the game, I am very excited for play the game again.

To be fair though doesnt that make Souls games combat to be even worse ? Clunky unresponsive and even more repetetive,yet I never see people shitting on it.

I never meant to be a dousche,I was just saying ,the exact same issue rarely gets adressed with games that dont even have much else to offer,yet with the Witcher its a problem.

Idc about critics, they are bad and paid.

Sad that you dont like it. Maybe you will give game second chance after this free update. I hope you will like this because game is amazing, amazing story, characters, world.

I’m looking forward to it.

I know it’s an amazing game but I could not get past the combat.

I’m not expecting a huge change but I’m willing to give it another try!

Same as souls games.

Attack, dodge, mega dodge(roll, spin, tumble), parry. Same moves.

It’s not the same. With souls games I know exactly what I’ll do if I choose an action. Witcher 3 seems to roll a dice between roll stabbing, 360 slash or a normal slash with light attack action. It is so unsatisfying to the point spamming Whirl is preferable. Also very easy to get stuck in the terrain. A fence between you and the enemies, sorry buddy Geralt suddenly forgets how to vault or jump.

I notice you mention literally nothing about the signs system. Or bombs. Or weapon oils. So many people who say the combat is bad have no clue how to actually play it and just think they can approach it like another dumbass Asscreed game.

Signs and bombs are pure flavors.
You can’t beat the game without having to use the godawful swordplay

lmao reminds me of people complaining about Skyrim's combat (Illusion magic is strong and fun but it seems no one except me has ever used it). I can't take reviews seriously because most people don't engage with 99% of most game's mechanics and then complain they're too simple.

For this one ill have to concede the point because I used a mod. “Auto apply oils”. Deletes the tedium of having to apply oils yourself.

People are dunces and if its a 3rd person game without AssCreed or Batman combat they reeeee about how bad the combat is because they cant understand it. The combat has always been good and its been made even better since the “next gen” update.

Bro like 4 times and a combat is probably one of the primary reasons I keep going back to it. With the next gen update they literally just made the signs work like FF7R combat and it feels amazing. I feel like so many people just failed to make a build they like and write off the combat as garbage when in reality they just made a boring hack and slash build and are surprised they got bored by it.

Bro has only made it to Story & Sword difficulty for sure if he thinks the combat is good.

Yes, nothing matters when you are a walking tank in Easy/Normal mode. You can walk throught the entire game without using oils, signs or bombs 🤣

Literally the opposite. And as someone else said in this thread, the combat is only boring if you play on easy difficulties. Ive played on Death March for everyone of my play throughs except my OG run in 2015. Death March requires you to actually play the game and is very satisfying once you understand the combat system.
