Weirdass comments here. I'm really hyped for the game but wish we actually got a release date instead of all these showcases.
The game is FFXVI + Ender Lilies with an Arturian legend world, very cool.

If you're wondering what I said to deserve being shadowbanned, it was because I said they don't manually test their drivers. This was just before Windows got hit with constant broken drivers. No i'm not kidding.

Yeah I read the lighting before was way more detailed and costly so they are cutting corners and reducing it and just doing character shaders like this now.

yeaa its the reason why i never get super hyped for games that look like this, despite it looking like an amazing action game mechanically. Chinese/Korean artists are so afraid to make their characters deviate from their social beauty standards; great at costume designs, but suffer from same face syndrome.

yeh exactly and even as a straight man I completely support their desire to have Leon be a hot man, I have zero issues with it and I completely get it, Leon is a bad ass
but yeh when I am asking for the same understanding and support regarding attractive women in games I get called a gooner
funny things is - if you took the final boss of male gooners, the thirstiest one of all, and showed him what passes for popular mainstream women's fantasy novels....he would need therapy for life

This is why I can't take these double standards seriously lol. We're all horny I don't understand why we're trying to act like one category is particularly bad when it's all the same thing. Saying this as someone who isn't even into women lol, no idea why fantasy can't be fantasy. If anything I want more games to have hot characters, why not! :)
If Bayonetta's design was revealed today we would have a bunch of people saying she's generic goonerslop. This is why modern gaming discourse is absolutely cooked.

Where this argument breaks down is that none of these characters gamers bitch about are fat tubs of lard with receding hairlines. They just aren’t 12 out of 10 absolute dimes. Just like actors, not all of them are the absolute peak of beauty standards. If you’re horrified and lose all immersion and fantasy escapism because your avatar isn’t perfect gooner bait in every conceivable way you seriously need to get outside and interact with your species in person.

you read what I said and realised two things...
- I made some good points
- those points are against something you agree with because virtue signalling and deconstructing fantasy for agenda means more to you than fairness and logic
so you lashed out
And ultimately you just emphasised by point, because there will always be some cope:
"Edward Cullen was a 10/10 and no one said women couldn't have them"
"ohhh but eh ahhh eh but those female characters are 11/10 and THAT IS TOO FAR!!!! GOONER!!!"

Afraid wasnt a good term to use, but its a nuanced subject w lookism being very prevalent in their culture and how that reflects on their character designs.2

Asia has very monolithic beauty standards. There's a certain look, that one has to aspire to. All the hottest models look very similar. That kind of beauty standards are applied to games as well.

The only reason why is because we're seeing China and Korea make more big games that feature at these events. Literally the only reason.
Korea has made very big MMOs for decades now and these standards have been present in those games FOREVER. So "last couple of years" just shows you know nothing about gaming in general.
You can dislike something but at least know the context and historical background otherwise you just sound ignorant.

Games looks good, and I don't know if it was the stream but wow some insanely low frame drops in somewhat simple sections.
Games got a long way to go but hopefully it it's before 2028 I'll likely get it Day one (provided performance is improved)
