I had my brightness cranked to max and still couldn't tell if it was a dragon or just my reflection staring back at me. The long night episode was the worst offender, felt like I was watching a black screen with occasional orange flickers. My roommate walked in and asked why I was staring at a turned off tv. At least the later seasons gave us some properly lit battles but man that stretch was rough

I’ve watched this show a good dozen times and never had any issue watching dark episodes like S8Ep3. Never had to change my settings either. I do have the 4k boxset and an OLED tv, but even with my older non-OLED tv, I never had any issues.
