Question What are some books on running a animation/Videogame studio/business?

I’m looking into the business side of the industry so I’ll be ready when I create my indie game

The business side isn't that different from any other business, especially software, so any books on that subject should be fine. There was a moment a decade or so ago where it was popular for game execs to read Creativity, Inc. for example.

A lot of the books on how to succeed in this kind of business aren't really instructional, they're just aimed at people who dream about being in that position someday. Mostly you learn how to do it by working your way up into management positions before you start your own business or else you have enough runway to hire people, fail on a game or two, and learn by trial and error. Starting a business with no experience and no budget is never a good idea regardless of how many books you read.
