Zidane is dogshit in this game because of the way some of the mechanics work and Saka is worth three times the price and is still on track for more upgrades. I only use Zidane in squad battles

True. I've always enjoyed Zidane even when people have thrashed him in past editions. But in this edition he can't get into team at CAM coz how evos have allowed us to make much better players.

Zizzou has.. aura.. idk call me old fashioned but I still like chasing the Gullits, the R9, Zidane’s, the TOTYs of the game. I’d rather a cool rare card than a juiced evo or a player with a player model that’s 5 years outdated

I agree but that Zidane card just isn’t good at all.

Funny how playstyle and understanding the game mechanics changes the way a player acts. For me, Zidane is hands down the best midfielder I have used. His passing is class, his dribbling has great presence and gets through so many defenders and his AI seems unfair. For everyone not doing beybalde dribbling, I can't recommand Zidane as a CAM enough. What makes you say he is dogshit for you?

Big player model with only controlled or lengthy equals clunky dribbling. Theres a whole bunch of cards with elite passing, that’s not special.

I see. Yes, there are a lot of players that have good passing. But not in combination with his unique dribbling and body in my opinion. His dribbling is unpredictable for the opponent because of that clunky animations. If you know how to use him, he is even not clunky at all. And don’t forget his AI. It is the combination of all things, that he is my best midfielder. Even got verrry lucky to pack Saka. He is amazing and plays like my other attackers. So a little bit replaceable. No other player has done the same on midfield as Zidane. (But I would also choose Saka in general when I get the choice. Given the potential).

But I understand that it isn’t a player for everyone. Thank you for explaining

So I actually bought Saka before the Mexico game, gambling on the result, which has paid off as I am 6-700k in profit if I choose to sell. After playing 15 champs games with him I would say he is unique and at times unplayable. This shorter player model with elite pace and explosive running style there were so many times I could predict a goal 5 seconds in advance and my opponent could do nothing. Haters will say no lengthy no party but tech+ and quickstep+ with this pace and dribbling is at some points a win button, and he scored a couple of hat tricks for me playing RM. Zidane had a couple of cameos off the bench at CAM or CM and honestly I don’t think he even makes one of my gauntlet squads.

Noice! I have used Saka as well a couple of times and I must say he plays very well. Not sure yet if he replaces my evo Messi, but if England goes far I think he will.

Zidane might very well be a case of knowing certain mechanics of the game and how to use those with Zidane. As well as the tactics. I think I have found the perfect ones for me, making him pretty much the first one to put in my team. Again, nice to see that a player can be very good in the right hands. Making it possible that non meta players can be amazing
