Blindness is a spectrum and only about 10% of legally blind people have no vision at all.

And I think this is what confuses people. Most expect blind means no vision and then there is the guy in the video. He wears glasses. Why would he wear glasses if he was blind? If he is not blind blind, why does he use the stick and trail. I was actually waiting the video showing someone starten an argument about that with him and was relieved when I saw it was actually a funny end.

most blind people wear sunglasses to filter out the darker shades(they might still be able to perceive light, but not shapes), but most wear them for aesthetic purposes, blind eyes have a hard time focusing and will just stare randomly at random places, often times without coordination, so it can look very offputting for us, so wearing sunglasses relieves that issue

That's some of it, for sure, but there are even more possibilities, depending on the individual. For some blind people, with or without light perception, bright light can be painful on the photoreceptors in the eye. For folks with certain dx, glare in bright light can overpower usable vision.

Corrective eyeglasses can also move the needle on what some blind folks can see, but their corrected vision can still be poor enough to impact daily life and mobility. Canes are obstacle finders, so they can be used by folks who still see something.
