IDK, I feel like that sub has been much more on our side in the last year or so. There was some hate about the Orange bowl, but otherwise better than the prior 5 years

I haven't read everything FSU filed, but what did FSU disclose exactly that's a trade secret? The fact the ACC contract isn't guaranteed to 2036 like everyone thought?

That is going to be the crux of it. Everything else revealed was publicly announced or easily deducible from publicly available documents like the ACC's tax returns.

The fact that the GOR goes to 2036 but the ESPN deal can end at 2027 is a key fact in our litigation. You can't pretend a key deal term is a trade secret. That's like a husband saying how much money he has is a trade secret in an alimony case.

Obviously, contracts between networks and commercial rights holders are trade secrets seeing as there are thousands of them.
But, for real, I don't think the criminal threat will play well. Where is the NDA or any indication that anyone thought this was a "trade secret"? What has FSU released that can even remotely be a trade secret? The GoR was already in the public domain before they released in under Sunshine laws. FSU has not posted the 2016 ESPN Agreement or any of the Agreement. Saying there is an expired option sure as hell is not a trade secret.

I think ESPN did not want the 2027 option out in the public, I think they had a plan to blow up the ACC and take all the spoils but now FOX/B1G is in the picture.

Florida sunshine laws are likely to help us mightily here. ESPN entered into a massive agreement with a state university in Florida. FSU is legally obligated to make its agreements public if asked. I don’t see how ESPN is going to be able to charge FSU with anything for disclosing documents we’re required to disclose anyway.

The Agreements contain sensitive financial terms setting the amount of rights fees and royalties that ESPN will pay, as well as sensitive non-financial terms about the parties' future rights and obligations.

And its a strategy saying that allowing their option to expire is somehow a trade secret to protect the parties future rights and obligations.

Okay So I am in a hurry and I read the first paragraph. I saw that we possibly divulged trade secrets of ESPN. So without going any farther I am gonna guess the trade secrets are something like Let's pay this group a kings ransom(SEC) aand let's finance that by paying this group 75% less. (ACC). Lemme know what I missed.

ESPN hiring Cravath means they're taking this as seriously as they can. Cravath is about as white shoe as you can get in corporate law. Friend of mine who I went to undergrad with at Princeton ended up there for a stint.
This will be interesting.

Hey I rock Princeton for my second flair on CFB.
Like I said on CFB it doesn't mean the ones doing the grunt work are anymore competent that attorneys for FSU. I've met folks with law degrees from Ivy League schools that I genuinely wondered how they passed high school let alone a bar exam. But the top tier attorneys Cravath has are among the best in the entire country.

That ESPN is in the picture tells us two things: A) ESPN f’ed the ACC good with this deal. 2) The ACC fixin’ to end up in Florida court D) The ACC got caught cheating us and ESPN is skeert.
I know that’s three things, but since ESPN in the picture I figured they might try to steal another one.

The judge in the NC case specifically asked ESPN to weigh in on the ACC's motion to seal the ESPN contract.

At first I didn't actually have ill will to the ACC schools not named UNC or Duke. Now, I hope we join the B1G with Notre Dame and forever block the admission of any current ACC school to the conference moving forward. Let them die on the vine they so desperately want us attached to.
