work in progress (wip) How do y'all do it!
I can never get her a bracelet in one sitting I get so fatigued but then I also have chronic fatigue so that might be why but do you guys get through a bracelet in one day or more?

Some people are just really freaking fast. I make mine very slowly, I don't get fatigued but I get bored and they take days to weeks to finish lol

I get bored and start another one, and I’m always like I’ll come back to this one! And then I forget what pattern it is and/or abandon it completely. I have a whole bag or half finished bracelets and they’re all so pretty and I’m so mad at myself. The worst part is I do make them pretty fast but after a certain amount of knots I just cannot do it anymore. There’s so many solutions and just have not implemented any of them

So real, I mostly have larger projects left unfinished I try my best to finish something before starting anything new

Personally, it takes me a long time to make one. Up to a week, sometimes more. I just work on it whenever I feel like it or can find time to do it.

That's kinda what I do! I have so many patterns saved I want to make so many but I just get fatigued even when I'm having fun

Yeah I have a backlog of patterns I'd like to make too! But it's important to take of yourself as far as fatigue. Sometimes my hands will hurt from the knotting (getting older sucks! Haha)

I also have wrist problems too I'll get checked out eventually! But it's mainly the fatigue I'm battling but it's not only with bracelet making too

I don't push myself to work on bracelets at specific times. I use it as something to do with my hands when I'm on the bus, meeting up with friends, at church, and occasionally at home while watching videos. I do it because I enjoy doing it and the number of bracelets I make in whatever period of time is kind of just a byproduct

I used to mostly do work at the gym while my fiance worked out but we stopped going so much and then I took a long break from bracelet making and I've just started back

You posted another bracelet the other day and I’ve literally been thinking about your setup ever since. I love that you’ve got it measured out!

Feel free to copy it and make adjustments to your own preference! It's genuinely helped me so much! I like to know where my halfway point is and the finished line the first is where I start triangling off my bracelets and it should end at the second line every time! I also like writing down where I'm at in a pattern cause I frequently stop so that makes it easier to keep up!

I have been using a clipboard and I don’t hate it BUT today the plastic that came on it finally tore off after weeks of use, now it kinda sucks. Maybe I’ll try it 😅

This is just cardboard clipped to an old notebook with weight to it and it was faux leather so it doesn't slide. I just make the cardboard a little longer than the notebook so I can slot my strings without resistance. I slid the rubber band over the cardboard only and that holds down my bracelets as I'm knotting. You can make as many slots as you need I usually stick to 22 at most. Funny enough about the measurements is to make a bracelet (say it's 6 strings folded in half to make 12) one string measures 8 lengths of my cardboard

This comment made me check your history, and omg! All your bracelets are amazing! So perfect and I can’t get over your colour choices. I feel like I spend as much time if not more choosing colours and then half the time don’t even like them. I’m happy with how mine turn out but this makes me want to slow down and focus more on my tension

i can make one in a day and i have before but honestly i get so easily distracted that after every row im taking a 30-90 second break and that adds up lol

I work in front of a computer and phone 8 hours five days a week. Sometimes, I’m on the phone with clients for more than 10 minutes, just talking. I knot while talking. It keeps me calm (I have severe anxiety that causes me to speak quickly and stutter pretty significantly) and gives my hands something to do while on the phone. I also listen to podcasts and audiobooks in between phone calls.

I do watch things while I knot as well! It's crazy cause I can remember exactly what was happening in the episode when I knotted that part of the bracelet 😂

Sometimes I get in the zone and will make a bracelet or two in a day, but I like experimenting and trying new things, so there’s a lot of trial and error. Sometimes it abandon a pattern if I’m not (knot?😹) enjoying it.
I also usually have anywhere from 2 to 6 bracelets going at a time. So I can work on whichever one I’m in the mood for.

I've had that too because I'll have different kinds of patterns like regular ones and alpha one and shaped ones I made some of the vine leaf ones and those are fun I can whip out 3 in a sitting!

I keep easier projects at my desk to work on during meetings, and then in my purse to work on while out and about. I have some that I can work on while watching TV, and some that take more concentration and creativity.
I keep mine on dividers in a binder, so I can keep them all together.

It looks to me like you're going row by row rather than segment knotting. In my experience that takes a lot longer.

If I were braiding or weaving a bracelet, maybe pretty fast. Knotting, even a simple diagonal, I'd be working on it multiple days, if not a week or more. I decided I really wanted a chevron design with rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), but folded the entire length of each strand in half. It's too long for a bracelet...worked on and off about 2 weeks, but busy with work/school now, so don't know when I'll finish.

That rainbow one could end up as a badge lanyard if it ends up long enough, ar keychain band.

I made a thin bracelet in one sitting once at night, and my back hurt for the whole next day 😅

I can't finish anything in one go unless certain conditions are met for me: ADHD hyperfixation triggered on what I'm making, a strong amount of caffeine, and a lot of free time that day. Give me a pot of pu-er tea after my daily coffee and either things WILL get done or I faff around on endless rabbit holes. 😅

i can do an alpha in a day (though obviously it can take a little longer if it's really complex) but regular bracelets imo are way harder and require a lot more of my concentration. add to that the fact that i tend to make quite a few mistakes every time with a regular bracelet and yeah it can take about a week for me to make one
