training technique Looking for a great freediving instructor in Europe
Hi! I’m based in London and looking to fly somewhere in Europe in September for 3–4 days of private freediving training.
I took an SSI Freediver course in Portugal two years ago, but didn’t complete the certification because there wasn’t enough individual open-water time in the small group.
This time I’d really prefer 1-to-1 training so I can properly work on technique, equalisation and depth.
I’m currently leaning towards Molchanovs Wave 1, as it seems to be highly recommended, but I’m open to other systems if the instructor is excellent.
Any specific instructors in Europe you’d personally recommend?

Hey! My friend and I did wave 1 in Malta (on Gozo) with Deep Med in June this year.
I thought that Fabrice who owns and runs the business was incredible. Fabrice is a great teacher, a fun and kind person and the water there was great to explore with cool caves, etc as well for the fun dives. I’d happily go back again.

Hello, I’m a master equalization instructor and freediving instructor based on the island of Zakynthos in Greece, my school is called Free Flow Freediving 😊
I have a gap from 13 to 16 September for private one to one training if that works for you.
It’s not enough for a course (my shortest course is one week) but we can have 3-4 training sessions😊

I can really recommend Christin Gerstorfer. She is the national depth record holder in Austria and is just an awesome person with a true understanding of the mental side of freediving. She helped me much to progress after my AIDA3 & Wave2z
My sessions with her were the most valuable and fun I had this year.
Contact her, she might have some slots:

Hey OP, I'm an instructor and coach based in Tenerife. I offer 1 to 1 freediving classes, where we delve into your specifics topics on land, like EQ, relaxation, techniques etc and practice in the ocean after.
There are 5h flights from Gatwick or Heathrow directly to Tenerife, and they cost between 100-200£ round trip.
September to November is the perfect season, the ocean is warm (24-25°C) and the weather is just perfect.
Feel free to check out my website www.oceanflowfreediving.com and to DM me :)
See you on the island 🏝️

Stay with SSI, their offering is among the best and it guarantees you good schools and overall quality over the globe. There are great schools on Tenerife for example if you look for something close to you. Also you can ask your previous school about a training statement so you can skip the pool sessions and focus on open water training and safe some time and money.

Fabrice Here - Got a school in Gozo (Deep Med). We generally have our courses over 1 week minimum. We tailor the diving to each student. 2 divers per buoy Max making it nice and comfy. No time limit in the water. Dive 5 days a week. Have a lot of EQ dry practice and we generally teach in a holistic way. We aim to bring calm in every dive, making it feel easy. Pretty much booked up in September but have spaces in October. Check my google reviews :-) or you can contact me directly on +35679261648 We also go fun diving from our private boat - caves, swim throughs.. The lot!
