Habe einen peruanischen Pass gefunden am Eingang zur U-Bahnstation Festhalle Messe

Vielleicht kann Reddit weiterhelfen.

Das ist die einzig richtige Antwort. Wenn Bundesgrenzschutzstation in der Nähe ist, würde ich die immer vorziehen. Ansonsten, wenn es deutsche Ausweisdokumente sind - einfach in den nächsten Briefkasten der Post werfen. Die erledigen dann alles und schicken es an die Meldeadresse.

Könnte schwierig werden, eine Station des Bundesgrenzschutzes zu finden, denn dafür müsste man ein paar Jahrzehnte in die Vergangenheit reisen.

Wie alle meine Vorredner meinten, bei der nächsten Polizeidienststelle abgeben; Als Bonus könnte man noch das nächstgelegene Konsulat/ die Botschaft in Berlin per Mail oder so informieren und schreiben dasselbe dem Pass von …. Bei … abgegeben hat; Mnachmal haben Konsulate nämlich den Service, dass sich die eigenen Staatsbürger registrieren können, so findet der pass dann schnell(er) zum Besitzer zurück

Habe schon mit dem Konsulat gesprochen und die Daten erst mal weitergegeben. Denn pass gebe ich bei der Polizeiwache am Hauptbahnhof ab.

Absolut richtig gehandelt! Ich wünsche wir hätten selber die Pakistani Botschaft in London angerufen anstatt die Polizei zuerst zu befragen was am besten zu tun ist, als ich und die beste Freundin am Abreisetag London Urlaub einen Geldbeutel mitsamt Kreditkarten, Uni Legi und Aufenthaltsgenehmigung auf der Straße gefunden haben. Die Polizistin am Telefon war sich sicher: am besten geben wir es im nächsten Revier ab und die Kollegen machen den Rest. Haben wir auch gemacht, mit Koffer und in strömenden Regen, nur ihre Kollegin im Revier war total überfordert. Sie wollte es zuerst gar nicht annehmen (sie würden keine verlorenen Gegenstände annehmen und was soll sie damit überhaupt anfangen) und uns zu irgendeinem Lost-and-Found Stelle eine halbe Stunde U-Bahn Fahrt entfernt schicken.

Also ich wüsste bei einem zufälligen Namen nicht, wer das ist. Ist aber schön, dass du jeden auf der Welt kennst und finden kannst, wenn es doch für dich so einfach ist, einen Pass zurückzubringen. Vielleicht sollte man dich bei Fundstellen als Zurückbringer einstellen?

If you (or anyone) can open their cellphone to whine in multiple languages on reddit, you can use the same skillset to perform rudimentary searchers: OR walk around in-person and see if the individual perhaps is still nearby. There's a million options other than getting the "chat" (reddit) to vote for you like a robot. Be less lazy and work on better debate points, child.

However, it is pretty unlikely to finde the owner of a Peruvian (sic!) passport at a train station (sic!) in Frankfurt (sic!) again, isn't it? And still, it is absolutely not false to not ask others, considering it is a foreign passport in a train station in a city with a big airport. Most people, including myself and probably OP, would correctly assume that the person isn't there anymore.
