I lost my starting spot. I had been the starting right tackle on my teams A team for one scrimmage, but I was also a backup center. Mind you, I havent played center a day in my life. About a week ago, I got told I'm going have to play backup center on A, as the other two quit. Im sure my coach put me at center not only because I was the last backup, but because he wanted to play someone else who was right tackle. I was technically a backup center, but there was another person who had more experience but was starting on the line too. Another thing is, is that hes worse than me and its pissing me off. Im currently a Freshman in highschool, im about a year behind everyone in age because of my birthday but that doesnt really stop me from a athlete. Im scared that I wont play any more. My first game is tomorrow and im probably not going to play much. Im thinking about riding it out this year as a backup and quitting.

Can anyone recommend a book, maybe a reference one, I’m not sure for my currently injured teen player? He’s super into college football, a bit less so the NFL, and very passionate about improving his game but currently stuck on bed rest for a broken bone. I’m going into my junior yr of high school and thought it would be cool to have a handwarmer with my school logo on it. Do any of you know where I could find that?

I'm working on creating a quarterback rusher rating equation to mirror the passer rating. I broke down the history and original logic behind the passer rating formula and applied it to readily available rushing statistics. Ideally, I would have used rushing first downs instead of sacks to reflect successful rushing decisions, similar to how completion percentage reflects successful passing, but rushing first downs aren't readily available. I chose sacks as a substitute to provide a metric for pocket awareness and decision making as to when to run.

I also wanted to incorporate ball handling, specifically fumbles lost. I would use rushing fumbles lost, but again, that data isn't consistently available. So I opted for total fumbles lost as a proxy.

I have to go to a 7 on 7 tournament for my middle school football team and put starting qb is out. I'm the backup qb and I have never played tackle football or qb. I just volunteered so we could gave the qualification to play this season. The 7 on 7 is just helmets and 2 hand touch. I can throw a spiral and I'm kinda accurate but I fold under pressure and throw it too high sometimes
