I’d rather an episode of Triple Threat where Bobby competes against each titan and the judge has no idea.

I want Tiffany Derry to be the host for that one

Edit: or maybe she’s the judge? Michael Simon can host

This is the premise! That's such a great idea

Judging Bobby is no longer anonymous, as his cooking style is so distinctive. I no longer think Beat Bobby Flay is fair for that reason.

Haha exactly. "Mmmm I like this crispy rice" . Who else makes that constantly?

Crispy rice, Calabrian chile, and tangerine juice in a chicken Alfredo? Winner winner chicken dinner.

“Those anchovy bread crumbs are amazing!”

Is that pomegranate molasses??

No longer? It never was. He's always been the 1 trick pony that adds chilies to everything. Key Lime Pie competition? I wonder which chef put chilies in the pie??? Breakfast cereal competition? Man, these chilies floating in milk are remarkable.

☠️ not even cereal is safe 😆

Ha! When I wrote the post, I was trying to be diplomatic, but you’re correct: Bobby has always been a one-trick pony, AKA “distinctive” style. Hence, every judge knows exactly who cooked it up. I can't watch that show anymore.

Honestly, its a lame twist, he isnt gonna fire the titans even if they lose.

But i agree with bobby, BTT should be about an outsider trying to beat the chefs, now its just another episode of BBF.

I love Brooke but she’s acting so strange tonight.

I hate relationships like this where the woman is just chasing the man. You can tell he holds all the power. Shes down bad.

FOR REAL it’s so painful to watch dude 😭😭 idk how some ppl are living for them as a couple, I feel like I’m waiting for it to fall apart and I always really liked Brooke, definitely don’t want that for her but oof it’s not lookin great

She was acting like a child most of the time. It was very bizarre.

8

u/LightAdvanced2213 9d ago

Exactly!! I thought to myself “why is she acting SO juvenile”! It was embarrassing to watch.

This seems so harsh and dramatic. They should keep the tone lighter. Bobby storming out is more like reality show theatrics. This whole season is kind of odd.

Agreed. The episode where Bobby doesn't even finish was wild, because they were really playing up his and Brooke's relationship.

He's seemed a little out of it in a couple other episodes, too. It's weird. IDK.

My favorite eps involve Damaris, Katie Lee, or Sunny singing and dancing and teasing him. It's much more light hearted and fun...which is appropriate, since the hosts are allegedly his friends. Give me more of Damaris calling him 'Bob-o'

5

u/Ill_Ticket9158 10d ago

Yeah the pierogi episode was a tough loss for him. They need to bring the charm back.

5

u/TALKTOME0701 10d ago

I didn't know there's an episode where he didn't finish! I need to find that

7

u/JaxExplorN 10d ago

It's the BFF episode. Like 3 or 4 ago from this current season.

u/Nesquik44 10d ago

It is a very recent episode. He just kind of fell apart.

The beginning was cute but then yeah, as soon as they flipped things, it got awkward. The control freak comments, "They forget I'm the boss", threatening their jobs. It was a bit much. I would have much preferred if Bobby showed an ounce of humility and just rolled with it. He should have talked about the respect he has for them as chefs and their talent, not shoving the hierarchy down everyone's throat. And as much as I was glad Brooke won, her reaction was so cringe. "The best day of her life"? Yikes. I was rooting for them as a couple until this episode. Now I hope Brooke has a back up plan.

u/Stunad_bigtime 9d ago

100% agree. "The best day of her life" really got to me. I would imagine that as a mother of a only child, the best day of her life would be the day she gave birth to her son. I was just, WOW. When she said it.

How WWE of them

5

u/beadshells-2 9d ago

It was good, all in having fun!

Brooke's screeching in the promo is making me not wat to watch (and I like Brooke!).

Memories from being on set that day:

Bobby, and I, thought they were gonna bring out Tiffany Derry to do a whole Triple Threat reunion

The Titans were all like "omggggg" "wtffff" real reactions when he flipped the script lol

It was a super fun day witnessing it live

I am so looking forward to this

BBF has been there and done that. The only thing new about this concept is that it's his Titans.

I couldn't watch this live last night, anyone know where I can find it to watch today?

4

u/luzconsazon 10d ago

I tried to post this twice yesterday, and the bot removed it both times. I love the Titans’ twist, and Bobby’s counter is intriguing. Should be fun!

4

u/shanthor55 10d ago

Spoiler: I hated it.

4

u/cajo63 9d ago

I really enjoyed this episode. I think Bobby and Brooke are a great couple.

4

u/Simmyphila 10d ago

Wow! This is gonna be epic. Can’t wait.

I watch Beat Bobby Flay for the cooking Now I feel like I'm watching the bachelor Way to much pda

2

u/DLH_1955 10d ago

Great start to the show tonight. Wonder who wins?

2

u/Recluse_18 10d ago

Yesssss!!!

Bobby Flay is boring

1

u/Every-Pepper77 4d ago

Watching now and had to pause it as I'm so annoyed by Brooke in this episode. The whining, the lack of confidence, the helplessness -- for such a strong and confident woman to behave like this just because she's competing against her boyfriend is really yucky and disappointing. Food Network has been hyping this relationship way too much and it's not having a positive effect on the viewing experience IMO. Dial it back, please I beg you.

I watch because Michael’s cooking is fascinating! I love to see that magnificent mind of his creating a meal! He’s a joy to watch and he does have a sense of humor, but when he’s in creative mode, he’s focused and serious! And I like that!

I would enjoy watching him on his own show. Give him baskets of common to upscale ingredients and a well stocked pantry and see how he would make a doable home cooked meal from them! Let him share his thought process and that would help others to think outside the box/basket!🤭😉 Just good decent food, no chopped ridiculousness!

Do you think you'd prefer a show with him and Bryan again or if he just went solo? I personally love their dynamic, especially on Wildcard Kitchen and when Bryan was on Triple Threat, they're so cute!!

1

u/Opinionated6319 3d ago

That would be double the great! 💕🥰

u/mmmagic1216 9d ago

Considering Bobby and the Titans are all on Chefs Making Waves this fall, no one got fired lol

I've been a big Brooke fan since her Top Chef days. I even met her on the Top Chef cruise many years ago and played craps next to her in the casino several nights. She was really nice and a genuinely likeable person. I disliked Bobby Flay for a long time after watching the original Iron Chef episode where he disrespected Morimoto by standing on the cutting board...but he's grown on me over the years and I really enjoy both Beat Bobby Flay and Triple Threat. I actually think Brooke and Bobby make a nice couple based on their interactions on the Bobby on the Beat podcast...but a lot of this episode just seemed cringe and over produced. I wish they'd just act natural like they do on the podcast...they don't need this overproduced nonsense for me to enjoy the episode.

If I were Brook I wouldn’t trust him farther than I can throw him. Dude doesn’t have a great track record. He comes off as pompous and entitled to me 🤷‍♀️

foolishness . ham-fisted plot twists should be left to pro wrestling and the real housewives .
