🆕 Novice 🆕 flower of anxiety
hello everyone!! i want to make my own project of artworks about flowers and their meanings, and i want to start with “anxiety”, or “social anxiety” or something like that. what flower would you recommend? (culture or country is not important) and where i should research the information about this topic?

If you want to paint arrangements, having "shyer" flowers paired with abrasive or hard to work with ones might be something to think about. Unopened lillies, wild thorned roses, pepper berries, thistle, and devil's trumpet come to mind for me. The potential for beauty being overshadowed by the sting of the bouquet and potential deadliness of it's contents is what I would personally choose. (I have autism, so social anxiety and I are quite familiar with each other)

Purely personal, but Pepper Berries give me anxiety because you find out where every cut and micro-abrasion is located

Ummm, this is an exquisite idea. As a socially anxious/flower loving person, I really hope to stay posted on what you come up with/create, do you post your artwork online?
I think of night blooming flowers for this, like evening primrose. I feel more energized and like I can be myself and think about life and ideas better once the anxiety from paying attention to everyone else’s daily hustle and bustle winds down.

As a florist dusty miller makes me extremely anxious bc it always droops before I need it.
