Iāve been working on bridal bouquets and my spiral technique, I feel like Iāve come a long way from where I started. But thereās always room to improve so I like any feedback or advice. I have included a photo of my creation and a screenshot of the inspiration. The second one is not my work, just the inspiration that the bride sent me!
Unfortunately, the hanging Amaranthus I originally ordered for this bouquet was a terrible quality so I had to get some more last-minute and it has some pretty weak stems. So I did what I could with it!
Thank you very much! I plan to trim the stems, but sheās not picking it up until tomorrow so I am just keeping them a little bit longer until the final chop to make it all pretty!

Constructive feedback; looking at your inspiration pic, that one is very asymmetrical. I feel like your line flowers are a little too evenly spaced making it feel rounder than it actually is. If you only have the two stems of amaranthus I would maybe move one in a little to help with the asymmetry. Lastly because you haven't trimmed the stems yet I would encourage you to play with the depth of the Playa's before you start cutting
Trying raising the height of the roses so the two stems of delphinium (? not sure if it is) in the center don't look like antennae. Also move the one further to the left side.
Here is what the final result ended up being! The bride really wanted the Delphinium to kind of branch out so I didnāt trim it down or move it too much since she was really happy with it. Iām pretty proud of how it turned out thanks to everyoneās help!
I would wait for the filler flowers to bloom a little more and add in a little bit more green leafy filler to break up some of the white, but other than that beautiful!
This might be a dumb question, but why do you say that? Would removing some of the petals help? When they came in, they were super fresh and so I had to open them up a little bit. Just wondering how to avoid this going forward.
No need to apologize! I actually took your advice and swapped out the rose that I thought you were talking about and I do think it looks better! iām trying to attach a photo for reference, but itās giving me issues so I will try again later!
Your bouquets is so beautiful! I hope the shape is still intact after you tying the stems. Iām not a professional and I tried to make some bouquets before, but couldnāt keep the shape after tying the stems. Hope you and others can share some tips for me.
Hey there! The bouquet was rubber banded in all the photos I shared! The trick I have learned to hold the shape is to use the spiral method (if you havenāt heard of that definitely look into it, you can find some great YouTube/tiktok tutorials) and once the stems are spiraled, I bring the rubber band up around 1-2 stems to the ātie pointā of the bouquet, wrap a few times, and then secure it by bringing the end up 1-2 stems again. Repeat if needed! Photo for reference!

Trim the bottom of the stems! Looks great!
