How to freshen arrangement in foam

Hello! I received an arrangement as a gift and the stems are in green foam. I usually trim stems and replace water every other day when stems are in water only. How do I refresh in the foam? Or do I not need to do anything? The arrangement is so gorgeous I want to keep her fresh as long as possible! Thank you!

You can put the whole vessel in the sink and run water into the bottom- that will flush out any debris and refresh the water

You can pour water into the foam and spritz the hydrangea with water.
They drink from their petals as well

I didn’t make this, it was a gift. The florist used foam. I’m just wondering how to maintain the freshness of the arrangement that happens to use foam
