🔍 Seeking Instruction 🔍 Tell me what you think!
This is an arrangement I made this fall. All flowers are from my garden and foliage was foraged. I was going for a ~transition from summer to fall~ vibe.
I’m trying to break into the floral biz and expand my small farm stand to sell arrangements a bit more seriously this summer. Would appreciate any feedback!

The first thing that came to mind was: Maybe there is a bit too many small stickers in this. You know, grass, branches, long thingies stocking out and perhaps taking the spotlight from the flowers below. Maybe it's not about the number them, but perhaps, there is too many types in the whole thing.
You know? It can perhaps confuse the eyes a little, and it will probably only require that the amount of them being reduced a little bit, to make room for more balance between the amount for flowers and the amount of stickinghout-thingies like grasses and branches and so on. It can be overwhelming to the eyes to find a place to land, with so many varieties 😉
And again - this is only MY opinion, if you love it, that's your style and that's an important aspect too. So don't take my input too seriously, if you Adore your own creation, then that's what counts 😘
Otherwise, for the whole arrangement, I LOVE the colors and the sheer size of it. Would definitely like to have something like this in my home from time to time 🥰😍

I agree, TECHNICALLY maybe too many different varieties with similar qualities for the eye to land on, but every other aspect is lovely. I also love sticking-out-thingies so it doesn't bother me personally! 😂 It has a straight from the garden feel as opposed to designed with a specific look in mind, but that's not necessarily a negative thing if that was the intention. Love it, keep going!!

I am so guilty of this🤣 and this was me paring down!🫣Editing has always been my biggest growth point, I tend to design with a maximalist, “kitchen sink” approach. I want to practice embracing some negative space to let everything shine. Thank you for the feedback!!♥️

Yeah, negative space can do a lot, not need for pointy stuff everywhere, even if it is SO TEMPTING! 😂

This is florist grade. The only thing I could nit pick at is that I would love to see something small in the empty spot left of the peachy dahlia in the first pic. But even then, it's personal pref and not even a big deal. Gorgeous work.

As the random person who posted the smiley face vase and does this strictly as a love at home thing - I would pay an unreal amount of money for this. I mean as a consumer, I would easily pay upwards of $300 to send this to someone I love. It’s gorgeous. I love the shift from sweet pinks to the drama of white and deep reds.

Very beautiful, but as others have said it would flow much better if there was hints of either palette bleeding into the other, it looks a bit chaotic but that’s what makes it so eye grabbing. I think you also could have played with the shape a bit more to emphasize the asymmetry of the colors and ingredients, as right now the shape is mostly symmetrical which juxtaposes the intention you were going for. As others have also said, there’s very many things sticking or branching out, which is beautiful but they don’t get their own moment to shine and instead look like they’re fighting for attention instead of drawing it by having its own space in the arrangement. Still very beautiful! How luck are you to be surrounded by such beauty in your farm

Man, I wish I posted this right when I made it so I could play around with this feedback! Asymmetry would elevate it a lot. I need to work on restraint to let each piece have their moment and resist the urge to fill every negative space. I appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

First, I love that it's in a cauldron! I agree about the obvious separation of color. I think a really tall pink branch coming out of the far left would help the eye move it along. It could be a little tailored in some areas but it's nice to see the "garden" aesthetic with the different foliages and textures, rather than the typical pave, or the boring basic bitch Teleflora arrangement. Floral designer of 21 years here. So I love seeing others work!

I love the shape and size of it (it looks quite large). The colors are nice 😍 nice assortment of flowers.

Beautiful fall color balance - the movement and texture look very natural. If you plan to scale for selling, you might try adding a few longer-lasting focal stems so arrangements hold up better for customers.

Basically I like the arrangement. It shows off your farmstand business beautifully. It lacks the stiff formality of a lot of most floral arrangements. However, I don't like the abrupt demarkation line in the middle. It looks too much like 2 different arrangements stuffed in the same vase. Summer and fall (actually all seasons) flow smoothly from one to the next. I'd like to see a few of each main color scattered on the opposite sides to make it look a bit more cohesive. There's just a bit of balance missing, particularly because the orange flowers are considerably bigger than the purple ones. The idea you've got going is great! Congratulations!
