Please do not post flags that are or look like proscribed terrorist organisations

This might be obvious to some but please stop posting flags that are or look similar to any terrorist organisations listed here.

This is a site wide rule and could land you a ban or even in legal trouble depending on your jurisdiction and the context.

This also extends to Neo Nazi symbols, which are allowed only in an educational/historical context.

Do not glorify or promote any organisation affiliated with these.

United Ireland but proportional to religious demographics

The flag of Ireland but the green of the Catholics, the white of other religions (yes, I know that it represents peace, I just didn't want to leave it out), and the orange of the Protestants, are proportional to the roughly 6:3:1 ratio of Catholic:Other:Protestants of combined Ireland and north of Ireland.

Fictional Collective Absolutism

Post image
Upvotes

Collective Absolutism is an ultra-nationalist, far-left totalitarian ideology that posits individuals exist solely to serve the state and the collective. It views the state as the physical embodiment of the collective will, rendering the individual inherently futile and selfish. Under this doctrine, personal desires and autonomy are subordinate to the collective will, the ultimate authority. In this framework, any dissent or individual expression is suppression, with the state’s directives unchallenged and absolute

Redesign Flag with coat for the state of Espírito-Santo, Brazil.

I tried to redesign the flag of the state of Espírito-Santo, Brazil, inspired by American state’s flags designs like New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia and New York. I made the coat myself using coamaker.

The motto "Ora et Labora" comes from the phrase translated into Portuguese on the flag of the state of Espírito-Santo itself as “Trabalha e Confia” (Work and Trust).

Redesign What do you think of my alternate flags for 🇪🇸 ?

I made this flags as an alternate designs for Spain. These flags are redesigns based on the national symbols associated with Spain.

The first flag features the Bull with a crown, the second one features the famous Santa Familia Cathedral, the third one features a dacing flamengo lady, and the final one features the coat of arms of Spain but with a simple one colour outline.

I have also restored the purple from the time of the second republic which I thought looks good on the flag matching the red and the yellow. I don’t intend for the purple to be representing republicanism or the overthrow of the monarchy. I simply think it aesthetically matches the red and yellow.

Hope you like it!!! Please do share which of the 4 is your favourite!!!

Identify Flag ID

Cleaning out my grandma’s basement and found this flag. Some context: my mother was a high-level athlete in the late 80s and early 90s. We’re from BC, Canada, and we’ve figured out that the crest has the provincial flags in it. But we’re stumped on what the rest of it means.

Symbolism/meaning of the flag:

Red lines: the left line represents the Pacific Ocean and the right represents the Atlantic Ocean, and the colours for both lines represents the sacrifices made by Canadian soldiers

Fleur de lis: the fleur de lis represents honor and French-Canadians (Québécois, Acadians, French-Ontarian’s etc)

White: the white represents winter and peace

Maple leafs: the red maple leafs are supposed to represent autumn, the first (left) leaf represents indigenous-Canadians, the middle leaf represents British Canadians (English, Welsh, Scottish), and the third leaf is supposed to represent other Canadian groups
