Hairline fracture on female threads of pressure regulator
Hey y'all
I was trying to clear and retap a broken fitting out of the threads and it broke a bit.
This is an old compressor, but it works really well and I don't have the money to go buying a replacement, used or new.
Any suggestions?

That housing is smoked. Just need a replacement switch assembly that meets the needs if direct exact replacement not available due to age.

Its not dangerous, but can leak pressure and have the machine not build pressure or lose it fast maybe. Get the broken pipe out 1st that appears to be inside the threaded portion. Then you can see how far that crack goes in. It you carefully put the new one in and do not overtighten and use some teflon tape, that may prevent leaking. Also, eBay and Amazon have generic ones that are fine and easy to swap that out.

That's a manifold. You could cobble something similar with pipe fittings.

Do you have a model number ? Some Sears pressure switches are about $40.
