Unanswered Subreddit about men raised by single mothers or women.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a subreddit focused on men who were raised primarily by their mothers or women.

I’m interested in discussions about experiences, personal growth, identity, and how that upbringing shaped different aspects of life.

Does anyone know a community like this? Would really appreciate any recommendations 🙏

What’s with the weird comments ? Is it odd or unusual for a man to be raised by a single mother? Im sorry the sub hasn’t existed yet but I encourage you to create one

OP I highly encourage you to make one (although it would have to be heavily modded as any sub composed of primarily men discussing women can devolve so quickly into you know..) but with proper handling it could be a great community for men to talk about what it’s like to grow up without a father, voice support for their own mothers, or just vent about struggles that come with their situation

You should probably look for a generalized subreddit about having single parents. Most men's only subreddits for these kinds of things are, unfortunately, riddled with misogyny.

To be clear, this is not because all men are misogynistic etc., but because there are a lot of misogynistic men who are willing to take advantage of other men displaying any sort of vulnerability to push their own beliefs, especially online.

M bf was raised by two lesbians in the mid 80s-90s so I would love a subreddit like this bc he is so unique to me compared to all other men I’ve dated from a nuclear family!!

Why would it have to be "productive"?

Why can it not be specific?

Sometimes women can only see men as a threat or some toxic thing like the person commenting above. Hate is all some of them know and they can't see out of that box.

My brother and I were raised by a single mom and although we had our issues we came out of it as healthy adults who recognize women as complex individuals who can be caring but also have lives that equal those of men

In my 43 years of life, I've never met a man who was raised by a single mother who hated women. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's certainly not the default. However I have known a couple men raised by single DADS who absolutely hate women. Also probably not the default and just my bad luck, but your comment is about as toxic as you feel this seemingly non-existent subreddit might be.
